Over time, the sport of football moved from a running back’s game to a quarterback’s and wide receiver’s game. The wide receiver position is arguably the second-most important position in any offense, and tight ends can provide some of the best strategies for offenses across the country and here are the five receivers/tight ends to watch in Central Texas.

Trussell is a three-star tight end out of Georgetown who has committed to New Mexico. In 2019, he recorded eight receptions for 105 yards and one touchdown. In 2018, he recorded eight receptions for 244 yards and one touchdown. While he hasn’t put up astronomical numbers, he is big, sneaky in his routes, and has enough power and speed to score. He can create big plays from a short screen or a simple drag route. He will be interesting to watch in his senior season.

He also received offers from Fordham, Lamar, Missouri State, Stephen F. Austin and UTSA.
