JJ Uphold, 6’3″ 247 Ibs., Garces Memorial HS.
Currently committed to Wyoming and also holding a New Mexico offer, Uphold is a very athletic two sport prospect that is still developing and has great potential/upside at the next level. Also a terrific basketball player with a very strong and put together build, JJ will move inside for the Cowboys and be playing mostly 3-tech where he can showcase his first step explosion/quickness and ability to convert speed to power while still using his length/good use of hands to rush the passer and defend the run.
Jahzon Jacks, 6’4″ 254 Ibs., Saint Marys-Stockton HS.
Only a rising Junior, Jahzon impressed in Fresno and has a good frame with the ability to add more weight/muscle during his next two years at the high school level. At a verified 6’4″ and 250+ pounds, the rangy and physical prospect will be on division 1 college radars during and after his Junior season for the Rams. At the showcase last month, he showed his ability to bend and flip his hips while displaying good lateral short area movement. Still a raw and developing prospect, Jacks will look to have a huge Junior season for one of the top teams in Northern California and anchor their defensive line.
Tawon Sago, 6’4″ 346 Ibs., Cosumnes Oaks HS.
The recent Cosumnes Oaks transfer is a massive prospect that plays with great strength/power and physicality at the point of attack. Moving very well for his size, Sago is a rising Junior that is poised to breakout for the Wolfpack this Winter season and showed his rare combination of size and movement ability in Fresno. Projected as a 0-1 tech interior defender at the next level, Sago should see his recruiting take off as he enters into his Junior season and opens the year against perennial nationally ranked power, Mater Dei High School.
Amari Comier, 6’2″ 225 Ibs., Clayton Valley Charter HS.
The 2022 prospect currently holds one offer from Sacramento State and is coming off a State Championship season for the Ugly Eagles. Still adding weight/strength to his frame, the Junior defensive end is a versatile defender that can play multiple positions along the defensive line and flashes good use of hands at the point of attack while violently getting off blocks and staying gap/fundamentally sound. A very balanced defender, Comier displayed his ability to naturally bend and turn/dip his shoulders/hips at the top of his pass rush while at the Fresno showcase.
Jaeden Moore, 6’3″ 203 Ibs., Central Valley Christian HS.
The 2023 edge prospect who is also a terrific basketball player had an impressive Freshman Varsity season for Central Valley Christian where he showed his ability to rush the passer and displayed several pass rush moves he has in his toolshed, which is impressive for a freshman. A very high motor player with good length and lateral movement ability, Moore projects as a top defensive end in the state for the 2023 class. At the showcase last month, he displayed good change of direction with flexible hips and ankles and will continue to grow as a run defender as he adds more weight/strength to his frame. The 6’3″ Sophomore is a very intriguing prospect that should see his recruiting take off as he enters into his sophomore season and enters college radars.
