Ty Perry, QB, Estrella Foothills HS (2021)
He is your ideal dual-threat QB with a big playmaker ability. In 2 weeks, he has tossed for 524 yards and 3 TD’s, with 149 yards rushing and one TD. He shows a great ability to extend plays and keeps his eyes downfield to find receivers. He possesses good mobility and shows good footwork inside the pocket while going through progression well. Perry displays good arm strength and has very impressive accuracy with good touch while throwing on the run in both directions. As a ball carrier, he is elusive and burns defenders in the open field. He is a legit competitor and is prone to bust loose throughout the season.
Zachary Sutton, WR, Shadow Ridge HS (C/O 2021)
Sutton is the leading receiver on Shadow Ridge with 11 receptions, 224 yards and 3 TD’s in the last two games. He has shown the ability to be a vertical threat, as well as the ability to be able to take a bubble screen to the house. He has good speed and has been able to get over the top of DB’s very often thus far. He has been able to create huge separation these past two weeks making himself a clear target. He is your all-purpose type receiver as he can play in the slot and outside.
Zach Bennett, RB, Coconino HS (C/O 2021)
Bennett is 4th in the state in rushing and 2nd in 4A through 2 weeks with 350 yards and 4 TD’s. Bennett looks like one of the most explosive players I’ve seen so far this season. He hits the hole with speed and aggression and keeps a solid pad level. He has breakaway speed and is a major big play threat. He hits top speed quickly and shows excellent lateral speed and agility. His combination of speed and physicality makes him an ideal D2 to FCS level talent. Bennett is a game changer at RB, and he should continue to put up even bigger numbers the rest of the season.
Nate Wright, ATH., Prescott HS (2021)
Wright has been a stud for Prescott on both sides of the ball. He holds 286 yards rushing, 3 TD’s, 27 tackles and 2.5 sacks. He has also registered a fumble recovery and a blocked field goal. He has rushed for over 100 yards in back to back games, and has also had over 10 tackles in back to back games. Wright has good speed and runs aggressive as a ball carrier. On defense, he has exceptional instincts with good play recognition and flies around. He is extremely versatile, as he can play any position asked. He’s a very reliable and coachable player and can transition into multiple positions at the college level.
Daniel Santiago, DL, Horizon HS (C/O 2022)
Santiago is a play maker for the Horizon defense. He did a good job of attacking the mesh point on read options against Millennium to stop ball carriers. He has shown good leverage and strength which helped him get off double teams. Santiago is very strong and translates his strength to the field. He has a good build at 6’3″ 290lbs. as a Junior, and will continue to put on lean muscle and can develop into a solid college D-lineman. He plays through the whistle every play, and has made tackles 20+ yards downfield.
