Congratulations to this week’s Prep Redzone Oklahoma Players Of The Week. It was a very exciting race to see who would win the fan vote after nearly 30,000 votes came in. Pawhuska wide receiver Mason GilkeyMasonGilkey6'3" | WRPawhuska | 2022StateOK edged out Cashion’s Caden HarrellCadenHarrell6'1" | LBCashion | 2021StateOK for the fan’s pick. Harrell was just a few percentage points away from sweeping the awards as he was our staff pick this week. Congratulations to both young men. You can read more about their performance from last week below. Be sure to check back every Sunday for five new candidates for Player Of The Week!

STAFF PICK

Caden HarrellCadenHarrell6'1" | LBCashion | 2021StateOK – Running Back/Linebacker – Cashion
Cashion replaced their original opponent by squaring off with Stillwater’s JV squad on Thursday last week. The Wildcats remained undefeated, although they had a fight on their hands for the better part of the game. Leading the way was their senior running back and linebacker Caden HarrellCadenHarrell6'1" | LBCashion | 2021StateOK. Cashion needed a spark and they got it from Harrell, who finished with 285 rushing yards and 318 yards overall. He scored four touchdowns and also finished with eight tackles on defense. The Cashion offense has been unstoppable all season but they needed Harrell to help keep them going last week.

FAN’S PICK – 51% OF THE VOTE

Mason GilkeyMasonGilkey6'3" | WRPawhuska | 2022StateOK – Wide Receiver – Pawhuska
Speaking of players who have been candidates multiple times now. Our next candidate is Pawhuska junior receiver Mason GilkeyMasonGilkey6'3" | WRPawhuska | 2022StateOK, who has benefitted from his quarterback Bryce DrummondBryceDrummond6'3" | QBPawhuska | 2021StateOK being one of the top quarterbacks in the state and being on this list several times already. The Drummond-Gilkey connection was at it again as they continued their undefeated season. Gilkey finished with nine catches for 236 yards and all four of Drummond’s touchdown passes on the evening. Drummond has put up monster numbers and Gilkey has been on the receiving end of many of those passes.
