Matthew Geeting, Chino Hills, 2021, 6’4.5 205 lbs.
The Middle Tennessee State commit performed extremely well throughout the showcase. He’s got the ideal size and frame at 6’4.5” 205 lbs. with a strong and accurate arm. He’s a plus athlete with a smooth drop back and good footwork in the pocket. A pure passer, he stands tall in the pocket with a good balanced base ready to drive his foot in the ground and deliver when scanning the field. An efficient throwing motion and over the top delivery allows him to get the ball out quickly and on time allowing his receivers to make a play on the ball. Had a very impressive junior season last year and shows great upside and potential.
2019 Stats: 2,524 yards, 58% C%, 27 TD, 93.7 QB Rate
Offers: Middle Tennessee State (Commit), Lehigh
Jackson Holt, Oakdale, 2022, 6’4 210 lbs.
Holt possesses great size and length heading into his junior year at 6’4” 210 lbs. He showed good pocket mobility and footwork in drills while flashing his impressive ability to throw on the run. He has a smooth over the top release with the arm strength and accuracy to hit his spots at all three levels. His film shows he does a good job drawing the defense in on play action and then being able to push the ball down the field vertically. He shows good potential and upside with his size and arm talent that should result in more college recruiting attention following his junior season.
Nicholaus Iamaleavea, Warren, 2023, 6’5 186 lbs.
Walked away from the showcase the 2023 Overall MVP and demonstrated why BYU, Hawaii, and Washington State have already offered him entering his sophomore season. Standing at 6’5” 186 lbs., he already has the elite level size and length college coaches are looking for in their future signal caller. He showed great overall mechanics between his footwork and throwing motion. His feel for the position and body control is well beyond his age with his feet, hips, and arm all working in unison to deliver an accurate ball. Good zip on lower level routes but his arm strength and deep ball ability is one of the many attributes that sets him apart. He’s a natural talent and one of the top 2023 QBs on the west coast if not the nation.
Offers: Hawaii, BYU, Washington State
Kenyon Nelson Kenyon Nelson 6'1" | 205 lbs | ATH Lincoln - Stockton | 2023 State CA , Lincoln-Stockton, 2023, 6’0 200 lbs.
The 2023 dual-threat QB showed why he is one of top quarterbacks on the west coast and pulled in his first offer from SEC school Tennessee just two days after the showcase. He is the definition of a dual-threat QB with his exceptional athleticism and live arm. He moves well throughout the pocket feeling and avoiding pressure and shows a good ability to throw on the run in both directions. On the run, he shows plus acceleration and burst with good top end speed. When all is said and done he will be a double digit D1 offer guy and is already receiving interest from ASU, Fresno State, SDSU, and San Jose State.
2019 Stats: 1,800 scrimmage yards, 15 passing TD, 7 rushing TD, 118.1 QB Rate
Offers: Tennessee
Amari Powell, Oaks Christian, 2022, 6’2 185 lbs.
Powell earned QB MVP for the camp. He is a great combination of natural arm talent and strong mechanics. The ball flies out of his hand with precision and high velocity on short/intermediate routes and on vertical routes. He showed great ability to deliver accurate balls both in the pocket and on the run squaring his shoulders to his target outside the pocket. He’s a plus athlete with good mobility to buy time facing pressure but can also be effective using his legs to move the chains when necessary. His stock continues to rise and is sure to be a problem for opposing defenses in the high profile Oaks Christian offense.
Tyler Voss Tyler Voss 6'3" | 185 lbs | QB Valencia | 2022 State CA , Valencia, 2022, 6’2.5 170 lbs.
Another young pro-style QB that performed well throughout the day. Voss has great rhythm for the QB position, he moves quickly and with a purpose around the pocket and has the accelerated release to match. He plays fast but never appears in a hurry or panicked getting the ball out. The ball comes out quick with good velocity on short/intermediate routes and good trajectory on deep balls. Arm strength has never been an issue and he has shown improved accuracy throughout his young career, especially when he’s able to set his feet and deliver. He’s a good athlete with the size, frame, and arm to be an effective QB at the college level indicative of his early offer from Florida Atlantic.
