This game might have the most high level talent packed into one game that we will see this week. Here are some of the top impact players to watch from both teams.
Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils
William Johnson William Johnson 6'3" | 190 lbs | DB Grosse Pointe South | 2022 State MI | DB | 2022
Johnson is the top player in this game and the top player in the state in the 2022 class. He is an elite cover corner with top tier size, speed and athleticism for the position. His talents have earned him offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, LSU and Notre Dame.
Joey Klunder Joey Klunder 6'4" | 230 lbs | DL Grosse Pointe South | 2022 State MI | DL | 2022
Klunder is a big, long kid with a ton of potential. He is a great pass rusher that uses his quickness and athleticism to consistently beat opposing offensive lineman and could turn into an absolute stud as he continues to fill out his frame and get stronger. He has seen only a little D1 interest, but he should be seeing much more by the end of this season.
Jackson Lambert | DL | 2022
The Grosse Pointe South defensive line is young, but they are talented. Lambert has decent get off, but he is very strong and can hold the point of attack. I think he will be getting plenty of college interest as the 2021 cycle comes to an end.
Jack Taylor | DL | 2022
Taylor is another talented interior defender for the Blue Devils. He is a tad short, but he moves pretty well and shows some promise as a pass rusher. He is another junior that should be getting college interest soon.
Egan Sullivan | RB | 2023
Sullivan is an up-and-coming player, but he has flashed some ability. He shows good quickness, balance and vision and I’m interested to see if he begins to pick up college interest this season. He is certainly a player to watch the next couple of seasons.
Adlai Stevenson Titans
Giovanni El-Hadi Giovanni El-Hadi 6'5" | 285 lbs | OL Adlai Stevenson | 2021 State MI | OL | 2021 (Michigan commit)
El-Hadi is the top player for the Titans and he is set to play his college ball at Michigan. He is a big, strong kid that mauls his opponents and he should become a top tier player at the next level.
Jordan Ramsey Jordan Ramsey 5'9" | 185 lbs | RB Adlai Stevenson | 2022 State MI | RB | 2022
Ramsey is another D1 talent on a pretty loaded Stevenson team. He has electric speed with great vision and balance. The most impressive part about his game is his ability as a pass catcher, which should make him a dangerous playmaker on the college level. He currently holds offers from Cincinnati, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Toledo, Akron and Bowling Green.
Jordan Kwiatkowski Jordan Kwiatkowski 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB Adlai Stevenson | 2022 State MI | LB | 2022
Kwiatkowski is a physical player with a nose for the football, which will certainly attract the attention of college coaches. His instincts and ability to take on blocks are impressive for a junior. He holds offers from Cincinnati, Central Michigan, Buffalo, Toledo and Syracuse.
Biagio Madonna | QB | 2022
Madonna is a bit underrated right now, but that should change soon. He is a solid athlete with a good arm to drive the ball down the field. He has seen some D1 interest so far, but I expect that interest to turn into offers after this season.
Tommy Houston | WR | 2021
Houston is a really underrated player, but I really like his skillset. He is a long athlete with some impressive ball tracking skills and straight line speed. He is a player that should be seeing much more interest than he has so far and hopefully college coaches take notice of him soon.
*The game is set to kickoff at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16th at Runkel Field.
