A natural at plucking the football out of the air who can make you pay on the deep ball. On-film, Bennett is a reliable wideout prospect who has adequate speed to pull away from the defense. This is a strong route runner with consistent hands. Bennett will be a three-year starter when it’s all said and done. Be ready for his junior tape, as it will be a key piece in his recruitment.
Devin Ellison, Cherokee, SR
Here’s a guy whose eyes light up once he sees press coverage. Ellison has quick feet of the line and strong hands to swipe away a defensive back’s off-hand jam. He knows how to stack cornerbacks and can make plays with a defender draped all over him. Southern University got a good one in Devin Ellison.
Daveon Walker, Warner Robbins, JR
Walker is special after the catch and can accelerate past the defense. He attacks the football in the air and will pull away from defenders. He’s strong going across the middle and will take a big hit from opposing linebackers. I think Walker has a high ceiling and still has his best football ahead of him. No offers just yet.
Maurice Turner, Coffee, JR
Probably the fastest prospect in the group and an extremely agile ball carrier in space. Turner lined up as a wildcat QB at times and showed exceptional vision and burst. He’s smooth when coming out of his cuts and is a master at the post route. Turner right now holds one FBS offer from Florida Atlantic, but I expect that to change and change quickly. This is a Power-Five kid whose talent is undeniable.
Justin McCarty, Veterans, SR
McCarty is an explosive deep threat, with long strides and good build up speed. He does a good job of changing his route tempo to lull defensive backs to sleep. Justin can track the ball in the air almost effortlessly and can help his QB out to run under the deep ball. He does a good job of sitting in the holes of coverages and isn’t afraid to take a hit from safeties. Right now, he only holds a few NAIA offers.
Maleek Wooten Maleek Wooten 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Jones County | 2021 State GA , Jones County, SR
I’ll be honest; it’s quite shocking to me that Wooten is still on the market and uncommitted. On-film, this is a spectacular return man, with outstanding body control that makes him a nightmare to bring down. He’s got the speed to outrun just about anybody and can turn a small gain into a big one! Jones County did a tremendous job of feeding him the ball in the screen game and just letting him go to work. To me, this is a Power-Five type kid and has the makings of a kid who could come in and compete for a job day 1.
George Futch, Savannah Christian, JR
One of the more unheralded prospects on this list, but this kid can certainly play. Futch is off to a hot start in his junior season and has gashed opposing defenses this year. He’s a fierce competitor as a route runner and can consistently win 50/50 ball situations. Overall, he has solid speed and quick feet in press coverage. I think when it’s all said and done, he’ll be an FBS kid.
Isaiah Allen, Richmond Hill, SR
You have to love this kids upside. Allen has lined up all over the field and can make plays at any position for his team. Personally, I think his future is at wide receiver as he’s a natural at high pointing the football in the air. He’s got a good stem and knows how to beat defensive backs inside. Allen has one offer from LaGrange College; if I’m a college coach, I’d keep an eye on this kid as his potential is through the roof!
Nate Boehm, Veterans, SR
This young man is a fantastic route runner and can dust cornerbacks on double moves. He’s got an uncanny ability to catch the football in traffic. Boehm is sporty and can move around and play multiple different receiver spots on the field. He’s clean at the top of his route and will work back the quarterback.
Josh Dallas, Trinity Christian, JR
The first thing that jumps out to me about Dallas is his leaping ability. This kid made acrobatic catch after acrobatic catch last season. Dallas stars on both sides of the ball and is a rangy linebacker prospect with a good feel for zone coverage on defense. Dallas is a patient route runner who constantly sets up outside linebackers and gets them to open their hips early. This young man has a ton of versatility can play as an inside receiver or outside. Right now, he holds a handful of Non-Power Five offers, but that should change soon.
Zach Jackson Zach Jackson 6'0" | 170 lbs | ATH Holy Innocents | 2024 State GA , Allatoona, SR
A wide receiver with good size at 6’3, 210, and is a true long strider. Jackson is an effective target in the redzone and doesn’t let the football get into his body. On-film, he always seemed to find a way behind the coverage and created a ton of chunk plays for his team. He has a strong punch as a blocker and will consistently turn defenders to give ball carriers a clear path. Jackson Holds one FBS offer from Army, but I think if he can keep up the consistency on his senior tape, more FBS offers could be coming.
