The HEROH foundation was created to equip disadvantaged student-athletes with the tools needed to use sports as a platform for college and success.

Academics and athletics are the main staples of this foundation. This past weekend at the Pullman Community Center, the HEROH League provided athletes in the Chicagoland area a platform to showcase their skills.

The turnout was great, and the talent in attendance was even more incredible. Chicago will always be known as a basketball city, but I'm amazed at just how much football talent this city has to offer that goes unnoticed after every showcase I attend in Chicago.

So without further ado, let's shine some light on some of that unnoticed talent by highlighting a few athletes from week 2 of the HEROH League...


Maurice Marshall | Al Raby '21

Marshall's athleticism and competitive drive were on full display this past weekend. This kid is lightning quick and as elusive as they come. His hip fluidity and quickness stood out the moment I saw him in individual drills. Consistently kept his hips low which allowed him to be faster out of his transitions. This served him well during 1-on-1's as he always made
