We are firmly in the high school football season in Georgia and teams are starting to separate themselves from the pack. There are great games across the state this weekend, and this will be the week where we start to see which teams are truly state championship contenders.


Valdosta vs. Lowndes:

One of the biggest rivalries in the entire state of Georgia takes place this weekend in South Georgia as the 2-1 Wildcats of Valdosta host the undefeated 4-0 Vikings of Lowndes. Valdosta head coach Rush Propst will be without star QB Jake Garcia who was ruled ineligible last week, and the offense suffered in a 24-10 loss last week to Colquitt County. Valdosta will have their hands full again this weekend as they go up against four-star quarterback Jacurri BrownJacurriBrown6'4" | QBLowndes | 2022StateGA. The junior is one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in his class and is hoping to lead the Vikings to a state championship. Losing Jake Garcia will make it tough, but in this rivalry, anything can happen.
