Reed is a small school kid with a lightning-quick release. He’s got great pocket presence and is equipped with a strong arm. He does a good job of putting the ball only where his wideout can get it and is a true timing thrower. Right now, he only holds one Division two offer from Quincy; look for that to change quickly.
RB: Sean Allen Sean Allen 5'9" | 190 lbs | RB Homewood Flossmoor | 2021 IL , Homewood Flossmoor
As a Junior, Allen rushed for 2,042 yards and 25 TD’s, on his way to breaking Homewood Flossmoor’s rushing record. He used a mixture of burst, acceleration, and top-end speed to dominate opposing defenses last fall. His ability to stop on a dime, however, is what makes him a special talent. Currently, he holds two MAC offers and two FCS offers.
WR: Keon Green Keon Green 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Naperville Central | 2021 IL , Naperville Central
This kid is dazzling in the open field and an impressive kick returner. He ran right by safeties in 2019 and was an absolute nightmare for linebackers to guard in man coverage. He’s as shifty as they come and could make you miss in a phone booth. I love this kids upside. Currently, he holds one FBS offer from Cincinnati.
OL: Ryan Stewart Ryan Stewart 6'5" | 250 lbs | OL Lincoln Way East | 2021 IL , Lincoln-Way East
Stewart is a really intriguing prospect to me because on-film, the talent was evident. The only thing really going against him was his weight on his junior tape, as he was 230. However, based on everything I’ve heard, he’s bulked up this off-season and added some serious size. I’m interested in watching his senior tape because if he continues to get consistent movement on opposing defensive linemen at 260 pounds, more schools are bound to come in.
DL, Daine Hanson Daine Hanson 6'7" | 245 lbs | DL Nazareth | 2021 State IL , Nazareth
Hanson is the highest-rated recruit still available on this list and has probably the highest ceiling of any kid on this list. He stands 6’7, has long arms, and plays with a very high motor. He’s a bit raw, but he still has his best football ahead of him. He’s a Power-Five kid who could grow into a 3 technique over the years.
LB: Michael Gaughan Michael Gaughan 6'0" | 200 lbs | LB St. Rita | 2021 IL , St. Rita
This is the one that is still puzzling to me, as Gaughan was an absolute monster in 2019. He was All-State and consistently made big play after big play for St. Rita last season. He had such a good season; he was even named to the Pre-Season Butkus Award Watchlist. I think this kid is an FBS type of talent, and I hope someone else sees it too because they won’t be disappointed. Right now, he holds two FCS offers from Eastern Illinois & Dayton.
DB: Myles Mooyoung Myles Mooyoung 6'0" | 190 lbs | DB Kenwood | 2021 IL , Kenwood
On-film, Mooyoung has crisp breaks, in which he keeps his footwork in the framework of his body. He’s got good recovery speed and will go up and high point the football. He was a ballhawk for Kenwood all of last year and even played some wide receiver at times. To me, he’s got the tools you look for and will be a starting cornerback at the next level.
ATH: Jaden Mcgill, Oak Park-River Forest
McGill is a freak athlete, & not only lined up at quarterback, but also cornerback for the Huskies. This kid is tough and will run you over with the football in his hands. He does a good job of keeping his feet moving when contacted by a defender. I’m not sure what he’ll play at the next level, but I do know he’ll be just fine. Jaden is a big play just waiting to happen on either side of the football.
