This coming Saturday in Springfield (OR), National Preps and a host of former NFL/D1 athletes, will look forward to seeing one of the most talented in state groups to convene on one field in sometime. Have a quick look at 40 of the most touted offensive guys, with 20 of those athletes currently ranked nationally by Brandon Huffman and 247 Sports.

Drew Carter Drew Carter 6'3" | QB Tigard | 2021 State OR 6-3 195 QB 21’ Tigard 3* (Committed: Colorado)- One of the most versatile athletes ever to come out of Oregon, moving on to play Pac 12 football and hoops in Boulder
Damir Collins Damir Collins 5'9" | RB Jefferson | 2021 State OR 5-9 190 RB 21’ Jefferson 4* (Committed: Oregon St) – Made a good decision with his commitment to OSU. Has the potential of being one of the state’s all-time leaders in yards.
Brian Mannion Brian Mannion 6'3" | QB Mountainside | 2022 State OR 6-2 180 QB 22’ Mountainside 3*- When all is said and done potentially when of the nation’s most offered QBs for the 2022 class. Metro and Oregon 6A POY candidate.
Charlie Pickard Charlie Pickard 6'5" | OL Jesuit | 2021 State OR 6-5 290 T 21’ Jesuit 3* (Offers: San Jose St, Air Force, E.Washington, Idaho, N.Arizona) – Listed by Brandon Huffman as the state’s top OL for the 21’ class. Look for multiple mid-majors and a few Pac 12’s to extend an offer as well. Earned 1st team all-conference accolades on D showing off his overall versatility
Trent Walker Trent Walker 6'3" | WR Beaverton | 2021 State OR 6-3 190 WR 21’ Beaverton 3* (Offers: Air Force, Army, San Diego, Valpo) – Ranked my #1 WR/DB in Oregon for the 2021 class. Impressive three sport athlete, who earned 1st team all-league honors on both sides of the football, accounting for 1600 all-purpose yards and 13 TDs last season.
Gavin Haines Gavin Haines 6'1" | RB West Linn | 2021 State OR 6-1 200 RB/WLB 21’ West Linn 3* (Offers: Idaho St, Georgetown)- Oregon’s 6A Offensive POY favorite. Haines could play on either side of the ball at the D1 level, but his 2000+ yards and 24 TDs from last year speak to his offensive game.
Keenan Speer-Johnson Keenan Speer-Johnson 6'3" | WR Tigard | 2022 State OR 6-3 180 WR 22’ Tigard 3* (Offers: Kentucky, Nevada, Utah St)- My breakout athlete for 2022. I could see Carter hitting him 8-10 times per game as KSJ will require a consistent double team. Started as a Sophomore
Jeremiah Noga Jeremiah Noga 6'3" | WR Hidden Valley | 2021 State OR 6-3 190 WR 21’ Hidden Valley 3*- It’s just a matter of time before multiple D1s pull the trigger on him. As good as Vidlak is, Noga is right there with him.
Dondrae Fair Dondrae Fair 6'0" | QB Jefferson | 2022 State OR 6-0 180 QB/ATH 22’ Jefferson 3* (Offers: Indiana, William & Mary)- I think this kid could be special. Not sure what position he plays at the next level, but as a Sophomore he was at times dominant.
Jordan (JJ) Woodin 6-4 210 QB 21’ Evergreen (WA) 3* – Maybe Washington’s breakout athlete of the year. Head Coach Christian Swain calls him, “The most college ready quarterback I’ve had in 23 years”
Tanner Volk Tanner Volk 6'1" | WR Aloha | 2021 State OR 6-1 190 WR 21’ Aloha 2* (Offers: Portland St) – Volk went off last year going for over 1000 yards and 11 TDs. He is equally impressive on both sides of the football
Jaylen Fite 6-1 175 WR 21’ Evergreen (WA) 3* – Another kid who projects as a FCS guy or higher. Racked up 1st team all conference accolades on both sides of the football as an underclassmen.
Luke Borchardt Luke Borchardt 6'5" | WR Grant | 2021 State OR 6-5 195 WR 21’ Grant 2* (Committed: Idaho) – Borchardt is smooth for 6-5 and shows off his overall versatility on the track (Hurdles). A lot of credit to the Vandals for getting on him early.
Kaden Huppin 6-0 185 ATH 23’ Westview – Maybe the top athlete in Oregon for the 2023 class. Could play on either side of the ball. Regardless the kid is real.
Blake DeBisschop Blake DeBisschop 6'3" | QB West Linn | 2021 State OR 6-4 185 QB 21’ West Linn 2*- Get DeBisschop 2-3 games worth of game film and the rest will take care of itself. Unquestioned D1 kid at some level, being coached by former NFL QB and top Oregon coach Chris Miller
Jordan King Jordan King 6'3" | WR Central Catholic | 2022 State OR 6-3 200 WR 22’ Central Catholic 3* (Offers: Central Michigan) – When all is said and done Jordan will be one of the most recruited kids on the west coast. He can play on either side of the ball at the highest level, at 4-5 different positions
Mikey Gibson 6-2 200 QB 22’ Canby- Ask head coach Jimmy Joyce or assistant/legend Faustin Riley what they think, and they will put him in the conversation with big time former D1 QBs Kevin Riley and Sam Noyer.
Zach Holmes Zach Holmes 6'3" | OL West Linn | 2021 State OR 6-3 285 G 21’ West Linn (Offers: Air Force, Bucknell, Georgetown)- Coach Miller raves about this kid as he is a true guard at the next level. Fundamentally as good as they come.
Gunner Yates Gunner Yates 5'11" | ATH Coquille | 2022 State OR 6-0 185 RB/DB 22’ Coquile- Most people may not know about Yates coming from a small 2A school, but he is dominant. His father Griff Yates was a legend at Southern Oregon University going on to play for the San Franciso 49ers
Emilio Castaneda 6-2 270 G 21’ Hood River- Castaneda has blown up over the last 6 months, training with Line Pro’s Alex Linnenkohl. He will be a D1 kid at some level.
Jalen Grable 6-2 190 WR 21’ Westview – Grable didn’t play last season, but if there is any guy I would be betting on to come back in a big way it’s him. D1 potential
Brooks Ferguson Brooks Ferguson 6'5" | QB West Salem | 2022 State OR 6-6 210 QB 22’ West Salem- What will be one of the most recruited kids in Oregon for the 2022 class. A three sport athlete and the son of head coach Arne Ferguson of Western Oregon University.
Jalen Ridgeway Jalen Ridgeway 6'2" | TE Central Catholic | 2021 State OR 6-2 205 WR 21’ Central Catholic – Two-year all conference kid who has played a key role for the defending state champs.
Jacob Newell Jacob Newell 6'5" | TE Thurston | 2022 State OR 6-5 220 TE/LB 22’ Thurston 3*- Has the size and all of the tools, projecting as one of the most of the recruited kids in Oregon for 2022. Projects as a TE with WR type agility.
Max Von Arx Max Von Arx 6'4" | WR Grant | 2022 State OR 6-4 180 WR 22’ Grant – His overall agility and size are two very appealing traits from a recruiting standpoint. Earned 2nd team all-conference Utility honors which speaks to that.
Kyron Albright Kyron Albright 6'1" | ATH Beaverton | 2022 State OR 6-1 185 ATH 22’ Beaverton- Not a lot of people know about him yet, but expect a monster year with the loss of a deep senior group, and highly touted Trent Walker Trent Walker 6'3" | WR Beaverton | 2021 State OR getting double teamed.
Kanen Rossi Kanen Rossi 6'3" | OL Sunset | 2021 State OR 6-3 290 OL 21’ Sunset 2*- One of the fastest rising lineman in the entire NW. Has D1 potential. Expect for him to be one of the most impressive kids at the event.
Jordan McCarty Jordan McCarty 6'1" | QB Silverton | 2022 State OR 6-1 175 QB 22’ Silverton 3* – McCarty is the guy everyone wants leading their team. Earned 1st team all-league honors at QB as a Sophomore, with 0 INT’s heading into the playoffs.
Ely Kennell Ely Kennell 6'0" | QB Santiam | 2022 State OR 6-0 180 QB 22’ Santiam Christian – The OSU baseball commit helped his team to the 3A state title last year as a Sophomore, accounting for 40 TDs (28 passing, 12 rushing).
Koby Kast 6-5 290 T 23’ Evergreen (WA) – His size alone makes him an immediate target for D1 schools, separate from his overall athletic ability. You will hear a lot about this kid
Nick Kennewell Nick Kennewell 6'2" | WR Clackamas | 2021 State OR 6-2 190 WR 21’ Clackamas 2* – Big fan of the family as I would consider his brother Richard one of the biggest misses from a recruiting standpoint in state history. Nick has that type of potential.
Trevor Jaasko Trevor Jaasko 6'2" | WR Crater | 2021 State OR 6-2 180 WR 21’ Crater- Jaasko went off as a junior earning 1st team all-state honors for the Comets. He will need to show out at an event like this with top competition
Miles Wilson Miles Wilson 5'10" | RB Reynolds | 2021 State OR 5-10 190 RB 21’ Reynolds 2*- One of my favorite players state wide. Set the tone early in his career going for 270 yards and 4 TDs as a Sophomore, helping his Raiders to a massive upset in the 1st round of the playoffs at South Medford.
Xavier Simpson Xavier Simpson 5'9" | ATH Central Catholic | 2022 State OR 5-9 170 22’ Central Catholic- Potentially the fastest 2022 in Oregon (10.6 100 meters). You will hear a lot about him and CC’s talented underclass group.
Trenton Hughes Trenton Hughes 6'0" | WR Hood River | 2022 State OR 6-1 175 22’ Hood River- Really like this kid. Earned 1st team all-conference honors as a Sophomore and looked great on the 7v7 circuit over the off season
Jack Artman Jack Artman 6'3" | QB Clackamas | 2021 State OR 6-3 190 QB 21’ Clackamas- The primary reason I have the Cavs ranked #4 heading into the season. Expect big things out of the senior. He has waited his turn and has talent all around him.
Riley Peterson Riley Peterson 5'10" | WR La Salle | 2022 State OR 6-0 160 Slot 22’ La Salle- The only Sophomore in Oregon at the 5A level to earn all-state honors (2nd team), and a threat to go to the house any time he is in space.
Jamar Flippen Jamar Flippen 5'10" | ATH Banks | 2022 State OR 5-10 175 ATH 22’ Banks – Flippen has had one of the most impressive off seasons of any athlete state wide, after racking up monster numbers statistically in 2019.
Kaden Schell Kaden Schell 6'4" | DL Central Catholic | 2022 State OR 6-3 230 OL 22’ Central Catholic- Schell is another kid who is just a very athletic lineman. Not sure what side of the ball he will play on but he will provide someone with options.
Ryan Dirksen Ryan Dirksen 6'6" | OL Central Catholic | 2021 State OR 6-6 290 T 21’ Central Catholic- Has the size and could be a dominant offensive tackle. He will need to be the guy for the returning state champs.
Brycen Indell Brycen Indell 6'0" | LB Willamette | 2022 State OR 6-0 210 RB 22’ Willamette- Had an outstanding Sophomore year going for close to 1000 yards and 11 TDs. Big back who can run.
