Passing: Jalin Brownlee (2021) | Camden
Brownlee has been the state’s best passer this season. He has completed 54 of 81 passes for 1,191 yards and 13 touchdowns. The senior has taken a huge step forward this season using his arm. He can make any throw on the field and is showing it this season.
Rushing: Patrick Smith Patrick Smith 5'11" | RB Holy Spirit | 2021 State NJ (2021) | Holy Spirit
This is nothing new. Smith has been one of the state’s leading rushers for two years now. In 2020, he has carried the ball 119 times for 1,038 yards and 11 touchdowns. He leads the state in carries and is the only player to date to total 1,000 yards. Joe Barsky and Cookie Desiderio lead with 14 touchdowns.
Receiving: Anthony Bilotta (2021) | Cedar Grove
Bilotta has been as reliable as can be this season. He has totaled 37 catches for 543 yards and five touchdowns. He is an advanced route runner with great hands and the speed to beat a secondary deep.
Tackles: Taylor Siciliano (2023) | Clayton
Siciliano has stepped up during his sophomore season as one of the leaders defensively. He leads the state with 68 tackles. Siciliano has turned into a complete weapon and a reliable tackler. He has great speed laterally and that helps in many ways.
Sacks: Kenny Boswell (2022) | Overbrook, Mohammad Kelleh (2023) | Newark Central
Boswell and Kelleh are tied for the state lead with nine sacks this season. They are both younger players who have blossomed early and will continue to into top prospects.
Interceptions
There are five players tied for the state lead with four interceptions. These players are Yah-Sin Calhoun of Freehold Borough, Khan-Yae Stevens of North Plainfield, David Jones of Pascack Valley, Jake Schneider of Ocean City, and Jayden Brown of Winslow.
Kicking: Brendan McGonigle (2022) | Ocean City
McGonigle has been extremely reliable this season. He has made 22-24 extra points and two field goals. He has the most points from a kicker in the state.
