The number one ranked 2023 dual-threat quarterback in the country is back in the bay area after transferring to Pittsburg HS from IMG Academy (FL). He already has seven D1 offers including Arizona State, Auburn, CAL, Utah, Oregon State, San Diego State, and San Jose State. Rashada is an elite athlete with a long and athletic frame at 6’4” 180 lbs. Elite arm talent with strong overall mechanics and footwork. Possesses a quick and compact throwing motion that doesn’t sacrifice any accuracy or velocity throwing on the run. He has great arm strength and accuracy and does a good job throwing his receivers open allowing them to run after the catch. He has great feet and mobility in the pocket with the ability to make strong accurate passes off platform when facing pressure. Played behind Jay Butterfield (Oregon) as a freshman so has limited game experience but expect his recruiting to skyrocket even more once he gets a shot.
2. Jack Quigley, Pro-Style QB, 6’0” 185 lbs., 2022, San Ramon Valley
Quigley showed great potential as a sophomore on varsity for east bay powerhouse San Ramon Valley and has performed well at offseason camps and early on in the 7on7 circuit. He is a natural at the QB position with great arm talent and ability to create/improvise. He has plus arm strength and accuracy with the ability to hit his spots and fit the ball in tight windows. Good composure and mobility in the pocket, smooth stepping up in the pocket and delivering when facing pressure. When protection breaks down, he does a good job feeling and escaping pressure keeping his eyes downfield for a target and throwing on the run to either side. Gets the ball out with velocity and zip with a quick and compact release. Has great tools to build on and picked up an early offer from William and Mary but has major D1 upside and potential.
3. Dorian Hale, Dual-Threat QB, 6’0” 175 lbs., 2021, De La Salle
Three-year starter for one of the top programs in the country, he plays in a run heavy offense but has continued to develop his ability as a confident passer. In the option offense, he flashes plus athleticism as a ball carrier with quick feet and change of direction. As a passer, he’s a strong throwing lefty that is always on time with his throws. Good mechanics and footwork in the pocket with a snappy quick release. He shows good decision making going through his progression and reads, never forcing the ball. Hale is a great leader and proven winner against one of the most competitive schedules in the country year in and year out. Committed to Sacramento State in July and has three other D1 offers from Valparaiso, Northern Arizona, and William & Mary.
4. DJ Bryant, Dual-Threat QB, 6’0” 170 lbs., 2021, San Leandro
An outstanding athlete with the ability to play both sides of the ball at the college level. As a QB, he has a natural throwing motion with plus arm strength. An accelerated release allows him to get the ball out quickly with velocity. Good zip on short/intermediate routes and good touch/trajectory on the deep ball. Elite ability to avoid and escape pressure with his quick feet and elusiveness. He’s extremely dangerous and tough to tackle using his speed and quickness in the open field when he escapes the pocket and tucks it to run. Offered by San Diego State in June and we expect his recruiting stock to continue to rise with some added game experience and film.
5. Eli Brickhandler, Pro-Style QB, 6’1 195 lbs., Pittsburg HS
Transferred to bay area powerhouse Pittsburg HS after a successful season at Whitney HS where he led his team to a deep run in the playoffs. He’s a crafty athlete that can make something out of nothing and improvise. Great awareness of pocket pressure and shows a good ability to keep his eyes downfield to locate an open target. Can sit back in the pocket to methodically dissect the defense but colleges will like his ability to throw on the run with accuracy and velocity. Under recruited up to this point and will be in a QB competition with Jaden Rashada Jaden Rashada 6'4" | 185 lbs | QB Pittsburg | 2023 State CA but will be one to watch with new explosive weapons in the Pittsburg offense.
