This week holds numerous rivalries that will be worth watching, loaded with a bunch of talent on the offensive side. Here are the pre game MVPs of Week 3 in the St. Louis County.
WR Chevalier Brenson CBC c/o 21. This guy is a freak of nature. Chevalier “Karate” Brenson has been having a tremendous senior season thus far, being one of the main throwing targets on the Cadets’ powerhouse offense. The Illinois committ has a total of 310 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Brenson is a very quick and elusive receiver who will be a challenge to most defensive backs. This Friday, they will face their arch rival Chaminade under the lights. This is one of the most popular rivalries in the state of Missouri and a must see, since CBC is stacked with a high power offense.
QB Carter Davis Carter Davis 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Eureka | 2021 State MO Eureka High School c/o 21. This is another great team that has a great offense, lead by an outstanding quarterback. Davis has thrown for 421 yards and three touchdowns this season. Not only he’s a pocket passer, but he can run as if he was a running back. Davis has 213 rushing yards and two touchdowns. This weekend, they will go up against their long lasting rival Kirkwood High School.
QB Reagan Andrew MICDS c/o 22. Earlier during preseason, head coach Fred Bouchard stated that Andrew is one hell of a player. This season, he has proven that. Andrew has completed 17 out of 24 pass attempts, throwing for 381 yards and five touchdowns. He also said, during the preseason, that he was focusing on passing the ball more to his receivers. Once again, he has been on a role. Andrew is a versatile quarterback, but he has been passing a lot more this season than rushing. This weekend, he will go up against their sister school John Burroughs, where MICDS has been 4-0 in the past four years. Andrew and the Red Rams are focusing on continuing the streak.
WR Josh Gansen Parkway West High School c/o 21. Although the Longhorns are having a rough season, they are still loaded with deadly weapons on the receiving side. Gansen has been the main target the last two games. The 6 foot 3, 205 lbs senior has 132 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns so far. He has good hands and is a hard runner when he’s in the open field. This weekend, Gansen will be put to the test against Parkway North under the lights.
WR Derrion Boyd Parkway South High School c/o 23. Parkway South has been falling short in every game this season. They are a young team loaded with talent, especially on the offensive side. Boyd is a prime example. The young receiver has been a very high target on the team, catching for 191 yards and scoring three touchdowns. His best game was against Parkway North. Boyd has been a threat on special teams as well, returning for 180 yards.
