PRZ Dakotas Marathon 1/3: O’Gorman @ Aberdeen Central
This is the first game recap of the marathon weekend for the Dakotas. The marathon is a weekend of reviewing live stream games from the weekend to maximize coverage. The first game was the O’Gorman Knights taking on the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles. While the Knights carried a lot of firepower on offense, the Golden Eagles stepped up to the plate and put up a good fight. The Knights would score on most their possessions, the Golden Eagles were a few miscues away from answering on each drive. Here’s the scoring recap:
1st Quarter:

2nd Quarter:
OG- Teegan Schlimgen 24 yard pass to Sam Stukel, PAT Good, 16-0 OG.
OG- Jacob Schwab 7 yard rush, PAT Good, 23-0 OG.
AC- Sam Rohlfs 10 yard pass to Noah Behrends, PAT No Good, 23-6 OG.
3rd Quarter:
AC- Sam Rohlfs 49 yard rush, PAT No Good, 23-12 OG.
OG- Teegan Schlimgen 29 yard pass to David Alpers, PAT Good, 30-12 OG.
4th Quarter:
OG- Teegan Schlimgen 29 yard pass to Sam Stukel, PAT Good, 37-12 OG.
OG- Teegan Schlimgen 33 yard pass to Anders Mattecheck, PAT Good, 44-12 OG.
Players Highlighted from O’Gorman:
QB- Teegan Schlimgen throws a good ball and was very mobile against a pass rush.
RB- Jacob Schwab was a very physical runner with a good burst of speed, also a good pass blocker.
WR/DB- Sam Stukel is a very reliable receiver, good route runner and good hands.
WR/DB/K- Zach Ridl made some good defensive plays in the secondary, also is a good kicker on PAT’s and FG’s.
DE- John Mieras had pressure on the QB all night and was vital in run-stopping.
WR/DB- Preston Konechne was a good short route receiver and was a good secondary defender in pass and run support.
Players Highlighted from Aberdeen Central:
WR/DB- Hunter Lemer really good ball hawk at Safety, good tackler and attacks the football. Offensively, good route runner and hands to be the go-to target.
QB- Sam Rohlfs had great poise under pressure, made good decisions on whether to throw or run, kept the offense moving.
LB- Alex Hopfinger flowed to the football really well and was a sure-tackler, many in the backfield.
DE- Rawley Moore was good in the pass rush keeping the QB on his toes.
WR- Spencer Barr became a good vertical threat with some nice catches to pick up some big yards.
TE- Noah Behrends height, size and hands to be a good red zone threat.
