70. Angelo Genetti – St. Mary’s – K
Despite not appearing in any games in 2019, the St. Mary’s Rams will need to have to name a new kicker in place of 2020 graduate Eddie Sanchez. The Rams did not utilize Sanchez much for field goals last season as he was just three for five but was perfect on PATS going 49-for-49. According to Paul Assad, Genetti has a strong leg for 50-plus yards with the ability to kickoff in the 60-yard range. Genetti has an opportunity to appear in some big matchups for the Rams as they face De La Salle and Division 3-AA State Champion Cardinal Newman of Santa Rosa at the beginning of the season.
69. Josiah Gonzales – Turlock – RB
Last season, Gonzales was the only skill position player in the 2021 class to be named to an all-league team in the Central California Athletic League (CCAL). He is a durable runner who has acceleration and speed on every possession making him difficult to stop. Gonzales also displays great hands catching short passes and running trick plays with receivers. In 2019, the Turlock Bulldogs had their most wins in a season (including playoffs) since 2016.
68. Daniel Navarro – Downey – DB
Navarro is an incredible athlete on the field who has strong potential to play at the next level. Within the CCAL, he was second on his team and in the league in tackles behind his teammate, 2020 graduate David Gorman. His film shows that some of the best assets to his game is getting to the ball carrier to stop the run game and making a strong tackle on receivers upon a catch. Navarro earned the recognition of first-team defense in the league.
67. Jake Shrout – Tracy – WR
The Tracy Bulldogs were the second-best receiving team in the Tri-City Athletic League and ranked 13th overall in the section. Shrout was just one of many talented receivers on the team last season. He has the skills to separate himself from a defensive back, outstanding catching ability, and can jump for passes. Look for Shrout to be one of the main receiving options this season as four of the top five Bulldog receivers were seniors in 2019. Shrout was named to the Tri-City Athletic League second-team and currently holds five offers that include Luther College, Whittier College, and Puget Sound University.
66. Clayton Moore – Calaveras – RB
Coming out of the backfield, Moore is unstoppable with his durability. He can pull away from second-level defenders and shows his talented footwork when going up the middle for a long gain. He was named Mother Lode League first-team. For Calaveras, four of their game dates are still TBA, but they will face two Division 4 state champions in Escalon and Ripon in non-conference matchups this season.
