South Carolina Top 5 High School Talent Classes: Blythewood

Today we take a look at Blythewood’s senior group.

Blythewood finished 5-6 last year and is coached by Jason Seidel but don’t let that record fool you as they return a strong senior class to keep an eye on.

Their top rated prospect is wide receiver Joshua BurrellJoshuaBurrell6'2" | WRBlythewood | 2021StateSC (6’2, 212) who committed to Florida State back in May of 2020.  Burrell had offers from around 25 schools and among them were Arizona State, Penn State, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and many more. In 2019, Burrell finished with 57 catches for 950 yards and 11 touchdowns to earn Class AAAAA Honorable Mention All-State honors. The stats are impressive but his skill set is even more impressive with good size, strong hands, ability to win in the red-zone, and good blocking skills. While he is not super twitchy or quick he is a possession target who will usually come down with the ball when you throw it his way. We currently have him as the #3 wide receiver in the state and #5 overall prospect in the state.
