South Carolina Top 5 High School Talent Classes: Camden

Today we take a look at Camden’s senior group.

Camden is coming off a 12-2 record in 2019 and has a deep class of players to watch.

Offensively, Camden has a potent attack led by two Division I prospects in the backfield.

The first is quarterback Jaffari PearsonJaffariPearson6'2" | QBCamden | 2021StateSC (6’2, 205), a dual-threat passer, who threw for 1,830 yards and 20 touchdowns, with just 11 interceptions, in 2019. Pearson ran for 634 yards and 13 touchdowns as well. He currently does not have any D1 offers but should get some FCS and D2 looks. If Pearson can improve his TD:INT ratio then he should rise up the board. We currently have him as the #11 quarterback and #132 overall in the state.

His best weapon coming back is Class AAA First-Team All-State running back Willis Lane Jr.WillisLane Jr.5'9" | RBCamden | 2021StateSC (5’9, 180) who rushed for 2,389 yards and 12 touchdowns (9.9ypc) in 2019. He also was a factor in the backfield with 143 yards and four touchdowns.
