Here is a scouting report and summary of some of the top performances from Eight-Man football from Week Six action.
Shayden Sull, Hartford – Sull rushed for 311 yards and scored three rushing touchdowns in Hartford’s 54-24 win over Wakefield. Sull is a 165-pound junior who hits the hole without hesitating. He is a strong runner who could improve by running a little lower. He has a tendency to stand up while running. As a junior, he has plenty of time to display his skills for scouts, but even right now he is a solid Junior College recruit.
Ashton Dowell, Hoxie – Dowell a junior, threw for 198 yards and two touchdowns in Hoxie’s 24-0 win over Hill City. At 6’1 and 170 pounds Dowell could fit in as a solid JUCO quarterback. Dowell has a quick release and a strong arm. He now has thrown for 922 yards in five games and rushed for 229.
Kalel McQueen, Wetmore – Wetmore’s starting running back McQueen drove the bus like he was Steve McQueen. He rushed for 268 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground in the Cardinals’ 68-32 victory over Blue Valley Randolph. He also led the team in tackles with 15. McQueen is a strong two-way player for could fill multiple needs for a college program.
Trace Tasset, Spearville – Spearville lost to 40-12 to South Gray, but Tasset continued to add on to his season rushing totals. The senior rushed for 223 yards and scored two touchdowns in the defeat. He now has amassed 965 yards rushing and 16 rushing scores.
Hunter Engle Hunter Engle 6'0" | 190 lbs | OL Madison/Hamilton | 2021 KS , Madison (’21 Ranked No. 230) – Madison knocked off Chase County 60-12 behind a big performance from its running back. Engle scored six times on the ground and rushed for 168 yards for the undefeated Bulldogs.
