Just like previous weeks, we had some athletes go off on their opponents and post some insane stat lines and film. We have some new names and some familiar faces in this week’s article and we have even started looking at the work that some offensive linemen did this past week. Fasten your seat belt and let’s dive into this week’s best display of talent!
Carson Hinzman Carson Hinzman 6'5" | 280 lbs | OL Saint Croix Central | 2022 State WI , Junior OL- St. Croix Central
Offensive Stat Line: 298 Team Rushing Yards, 3 TDs
If you want to see elite offensive lineman film check out Carson’s film. He has it all. Elite size/athleticism/strength combination. The body control that he exhibits is elite. He doesn’t get caught off balance or overextending on his blocks. He has violent and strong hands. His ability to sustain blocks and then finish them to the ground is amazing to watch. Hinzman’s ability to get to the second level and hit his target is exceptional. This past week, Carson opened up running lane after running lane as St. Croix Central ran their way to nearly 300 yards in a tough battle with Ellsworth. It is easy to see why he has more FBS offers than you can count. The sky is the limit for Carson. I have a feeling we could be watching him play football for quite a few more years.
Colin Girdaukas, Junior WR- Sheboygan Lutheran
Offensive Stat Line: 7 Receptions, 339 Yards, 3 TDs
Colin has really made a home here in this weekly article. He somehow keeps putting up crazier and crazier stat lines each week too. This week he really out did himself. Colin is the is the ultimate deep threat. He has the speed to win deep, but he also has the route running, that has improved week after week, to create the separation that leads to these huge plays that he creates. Colin also has the elusive skill set to turn quick plays into electric plays. He showed all this in week three’s performance. Short passes taken to the house. Deep passes taken to the house. He showed it all. At this point I think it is safe to say same time same place next week for Colin Girdaukas. Colin’s Week Three highlights
Will DeGoey Will DeGoey 6'8" | 355 lbs | OL Kaukauna | 2021 State WI , Senior OL- Plymouth
Offensive Stat Line: 244 Team Passing Yards, 1 TD Pass, 107 Team Rushing Yards, 1 TD
DeGoey is huge and he uses it when he plays. In his film from this week you can see that he turns that size into momentum to drive interior linemen off the ball and he also sets a strong anchor in the pass game. He also adds the athleticism to get to the second level and make key blocks on linebackers. His reactive athleticism to adjust to defenders trying to slip past him or get off his block is impressive too. He can adjust to them and keep his hands inside to maintain the block. Will’s Week Three Highlights (His team’s second game)
Dylan Dohr Dylan Dohr 6'0" | 170 lbs | RB Hilbert | 2021 State WI , Senior RB- Hilbert
Offensive Stat Line: 28 Carries, 233 Yards, 2 TDs
Another week, another gigantic workload for Dylan. Dylan really showed off his patience this week. He consistently allowed his offensive linemen to set up blocks and open up lanes for him. Then he would stick his foot in the ground and go north and south. Any time he got to the outside he let his speed and long strides take over. In the open space he can pull away from defenders. He had some surprising plays of running through contact and he consistently fell forward. Dylan’s Week Three Highlights
Aydan Dautermann Aydan Dautermann 6'2" | 185 lbs | DB Slinger | 2021 State WI , Senior WR- Slinger
Offensive Stat Line: 3 Receptions, 278 Yards, 3 TDs
Wow. From play one on this week’s film that was the word that kept going through my head. Aydan has game changing speed. He was clearly the fastest player on the field and it wasn’t just straight line speed. In tight quarters he was able to shake defenders and give himself windows to burst through for big plays, and by big play I mean it. He took every reception to the house this week. The best part is Aydan could play on either side at the next level. He may be more set at DB, but with how raw he is at receiver the potential is high on that side of the ball for him. Either way he has a ton to offer a program. He hasn’t landed that elusive D1 offer, but if he keeps this level of play going it will be hard for them to resist. Aydan’s Week Three Highlights
Robby Michael Robby Michael 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Sheboygan Lutheran | 2022 State WI , Junior QB- Sheboygan Lutheran
Offensive Stat Line: 24/36, 579 Passing Yards, 4 Passing TDs, 31 Rushing Yards, 2 Rushing TDs
Robby has developed nicely this first half of the season. He has the athletic upside you love to see at the position. As a passer he has exceeded my expectations from what I thought after watching week one. His arm has the juice to hit anywhere on the field and can even do it on the run. The spot on accuracy is impressive too. Robby has a lot on his plate week in and week out and he has consistently proven that he can handle it. Prepare yourself for his end of season stat line because it is going to be unbelievable. Robby’s Week Three Highlights
Matteo Bonnin Matteo Bonnin 6'3" | 210 lbs | WR Hudson | 2021 State WI , Senior RB/WR- Hudson
Offensive Stat Line: 11 Carries, 142 Rushing Yards, 2 Receptions, 54 Receiving Yards, 2 TDs
Matteo is a freak athlete. He has an elite frame that he pairs with off the charts athleticism. Bonnin checks off all the critical factors that I look for in a receiver. Reliable hands, separation in his route running, and elusive run after the catch. Bonnin is such a dominant player on offense that he even checks off the boxes of the key factors for a running back too. He has impressive contact balance, vision, and impact on the passing game from the backfield. He put it all on display in his film this week. Matteo’s Week Three Highlights
Brycen Cashin Brycen Cashin 5'10" | 190 lbs | RB Pacelli | 2022 State WI , Junior RB- Pacelli
Offensive Stat Line: 20 Carries, 216 Rushing Yards, 3 TDs
Brycen is putting together a great season. He leads the state in rushing yards at the halfway point and his film shows off some traits that should have the collegiate level’s attention. Brycen’s film from this week really shows off three key traits. Vision, play speed, and elusiveness. He can see the gaps, sometimes before they are even there. His speed makes it so he can hit any gap and take it to the house on every touch. His elusiveness makes it hard to bring him down even when you have him contained in tight quarters. When he puts all three together he is tough to contain and tough to bring down. Add in the conditioning to play both ways and you get an impressive prospect that you need to check out. Brycen’s Week Three Highlights
Jack Janke, Junior WR- Ellsworth
Offensive Stat Line: 6 Receptions, 178 Yards, 2 TDs
This kid came out of nowhere for me, but he is putting together an excellent season. This past week was his best week and he used that strong week to show off his best traits. Speaking of best traits, those are his route running, play speed, and his hands. Jack can take the top off of the defense on his deep routes, and he can take a short pass to the house. Even in his film you see him trip on one of his routes and he still had the speed and the route running before the trip to create a ton of separation. If he can make a catch with any sort of space he is going to turn it into an electric play. Jack’s Week Three Highlights
Maddux Allen, Junior QB- Cumberland
Offensive Stat Line: 25/30, 334 Passing Yards, 3 TDs
Maddux has been spending the 2020 season carving up defenses all over northern Wisconsin. This week he went out and showed off his arm talent. Allen has the arm strength to put the zip on the ball that needs to be there to fit the ball into tight windows. It’s not just a strong arm though. It’s an accurate one. It isn’t that he can put the ball near the receiver. He does a good job of putting it right where it needs to be for the receiver to make a play after the catch. Maddux adds in the threat to take off and run or buy time. Keep an eye on this young QB over the next season and a half. Maddux’s Week Three Highlights
