While the top players often commit early, there remains a number of uncommitted players who could have an immediate impact at whichever school they choose.
Here’s a quick list of a handful of seniors — some with offers, some without — who have shined during their final season.
Braesen Parker, LB, Cherokee
Arguably the best linebacker in Cherokee County, Parker (5’11’’, 205) has been a force on the Cherokee defense this season. He leads the county in tackles (85) with nearly 20 more than the next highest player. He set a program record for tackles as a junior (155) and has shown his coverage skills this season as well with two interceptions. Holds seven offers from schools such as Birmingham Southern, Berry College and Reinhardt University among others.

Grant Anderson, LB, Creekview
Currently with no offers, Anderson is right alongside Parker as one of the best linebackers in Cherokee County. Likely a Division III or NAIA prospect, Anderson (5’11”, 205) has proven himself as an elite tackler with well-above-average skills in reading an offense and tracking ball carriers. He is on pace to repeat as his team’s leading tackler and is currently second in the county in tackles for loss (10) and first in sacks (7).

Wes Bruno and Sebastian Moss, WR, Woodstock
A season after catching 42 balls for 475 yards with four scores, Bruno has nearly surpassed those numbers in six games. Bruno leads Cherokee County with 40 receptions and his 411 yards and three receiving touchdowns are good for second on the county leaderboard. Bruno (6’2”, 180) holds several Division III offers including Berry College, Birmingham Southern and Trine University.
Moss (5’10”, 170) has been nearly as productive as Bruno in the passing game (30 receptions for 298 yards and one touchdown) but has also scored in the running game and on the defensive side of the ball. Recently received an offer from Birmingham Southern University.
Austin Trimble and Riley Lyons, CB, Cherokee
Trimble and Lyons have been anchors in the secondary for the Cherokee Warriors.
Lyons (6’3”, 175) leads Cherokee County in interceptions (3) and has the length and skills (33 tackles) to be an effective playmaker at the next level. An excellent athlete, Lyons also serves as Cherokee’s backup quarterback.

Trimble (5’11”, 175) may be one of the most underrated defensive players in Cherokee County. Recorded an interception in Cherokee’s win over state power Rome earlier in the season and has shown a willingness to makes plays in run support as well (23 tackles). Shows excellent spacial awareness and smooth hips in pass coverage and could be a steal for whichever school he chooses. Holds offers from Birmingham Southern, Berry College and Marist College.
