This kid will smack you! Hauser closes ground quickly and will run through you if you’re holding the football. He shows tight breaks and does a good job of reading the QB. He’s played some running back as well and has been a serious threat out of the backfield as a receiver. Hauser is a talented kid with a bright future.
Samirion Ford, Lawrence North, 5’11, 190, SO
When it’s all said and done, I think this young man should be a Division I one prospect. I really like how Lawrence North uses him, moving around and having him line up all over the place. He’s somewhat of a nickel/safety type. He’s comfortable rolled up in the slot in man and knows how to jam wide receivers. I think he projects as a true nickel at the next level, he’s got to put on a little weight, but the talent is certainly there.
Jayden Pinkston, Tindley, 6’3, 170, SR
This young man has great range and ball skills. To me, he’s at his best playing centerfield and just reading the quarterback. He’s totaled 6 interceptions this season and shown he will consistently high point the football in the air. With his sheer size at 6’3 and athleticism, I think he’s a really intriguing prospect for college coaches. He’s definitely one kid I will be waiting on to see his full senior film.
Steven Stephany, Lafayette Jefferson, 5’9, 170, JR
He may not be the biggest kid out there, but man does this guy play fearless. On film, Steven is an aggressive tackler with good speed and instincts. He quickly accelerates and will often chase plays down from the backside. He can also play special teams and can make a serious impact there as well. This kid is tough as nails on top of it all.
Zane Hill, Cathedral, 6’, 170, SR
Hill has the capability of playing both corner and safety, a trait not easily found in high school defensive backs. As a corner, he does a phenomenal job of overlapping in zone coverage and attacking the football in the air. He’s got a smooth backpedal and knows how to weave inside. On film, he shows good recovery speed and can run with the best of them. Hill, to me, has FBS type ability based on his senior tape and should at the very least reel in some FCS offers.
Ben Massey, Franklin Central, 5’10, 175, SR
Of all the kids on this list, I think Massey would have to be considered the hardest hitter. Go put on his senior tape; it’s crushing hit after crushing hit. The guy plays with reckless abandonment and will hit you regardless of how big you are. He’s got great closing speed and can come to a balance and make tackles in the open field. He takes good angles to the ball, ensuring he doesn’t get cut back on as well. This season he’s totaled 82 tackles and has been an absolute stud for Franklin Central.
