Here is where the athletes have had a few weeks to get the rust off and are now beginning to turn some heads.
As you know by now, we make it our objective to spotlight every area the state – along with our many visits to schools and watch these athletes firsthand and live.
Nothing beats seeing these football prospects from five feet away and learn everything about them.
Evaluations can easily be done from watching videos, and nobody will dispute that, but to judge character and observe how prospects play the game – when they are not physically performing – is something that you just cannot see from film, and can be a huge determining factor whether an athlete advances in the sport.
Today, we will give you five more players who have the chance to be special – as they have already shown.
2023 – Eli Campbell, DB, Daytona Beach Seabreeze. One of the up-and-coming sophomore football players who started this year off the way many expected. In a recent game, this is someone who filled up the stat sheet with 2 interceptions, 3 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, punt return and a 35-yard interception return. This is certainly someone that will be watched.

2021 – Maurice Heath, Athlete, Jacksonville Lee. Talk about a versatile performer. This young man plays safety, nickel, corner, middle linebacker, and outside linebacker and performs very well at all of them. This is a four-year varsity standout, who has a 3.44 GPA and is still making plays all over the field. This is truly an athlete that needs a college to watch what he does and they will be impressed. No doubt that Covid-19 slowed his attention.

2023 – Tobias Lewis, Athlete, Fort Lauderdale Westminster Academy. For the past two years, this is a talent who has been maturing and getting to the point where many were starting to pay attention. No matter where you want to put this young man, he will always be in the best shape and more ready for the experience than his opponent. This is a year in which many will start to find out about how gifted he is – as he recently showed against Key West. Even though Westminster Academy came out on the short end, it was a huge game as he had nine catches for 194 yards and two scores. He also was a huge impact on defense with 13 tackles and two interceptions. Amazing young man as well.

2021 – Campbell Parker, RB, Ponte Vedra. Here is a gifted running back who made it a point to get off to a quick start and turn heads, which is essential as college coaches will be checking on the prospects – to see how much growth as a player and person has been made over the past seven months. Recently, he carried the ball 29 times for 212 yards and 2 touchdowns. This is a gifted young man.

2023 – Luke Rucker, QB, Oviedo. Here is yet another underclassman that has a chance to be special – as the central Florida area continues to churn out young and gifted football prospects. He recently followed up his seven-touchdown game with four more scoring passes. This emerging standout completed 14 of passes for 171 yards as the Lions continued to win.
