Delbarton and DePaul, two divisional rivals that often have classic games, laid it all out on the field on Saturday. But it was Delbarton that made the timely plays. Let’s take a look at the winners from the Green Wave’s victory over the Spartans.
Cole Freeman, Delbarton: The Green Wave quarterback threw two touchdown passes, both to David Link. He managed the game well and was able to make some plays with his feet. The Green Wave led 21-0 at halftime thanks to Freeman’s second TD connection with Link late in the second quarter.
David Link, Delbarton: Link scored on TD passes of 19 and 16 yards that paved the way for the Green Wave offense in the first half.
Gary Lewis, Delbarton: Lewis scored on a 1-yard run for Delbarton in the first half.
Jake Jarmolowich, Delbarton: Jarmolowich made two interceptions, the first setting up Lewis’ TD run. He also had a pivotal pick in the end zone as DePaul tried to rally.
Delbarton Defense: The Green Wave was phenomenal on defense on Saturday, especially with holding DePaul in the red zone.
Patrick Ryan, Delbarton: Ryan connected on a 40-yard field goal for the Green Wave that extended the Delbarton lead to three possessions in the second half.
