Many players had a breakout season in 2020. Through all the uncertainties, schedule changes and more, certain players made it their mission to make a name for themselves. Let’s take a look at five breakout players in the 2020 season.

Patrick LePoidevinPatrickLePoidevin6'4" | QBBound Brook | 2022StateNJ, Bound Brook, Jr. -- LePoidevin has emerged as a reliable threat for Bound Brook. He has completed about 60 percent of his throws for 1,111 yards and 17 touchdowns to four interceptions. He has rushed for five TDs to go with his 17 passing TDs. Listed at 6-foot-5, 200 pounds, the Crusader quarterback has good size and shows poise in the pocket. LePoidevin has a good release and has a nice touch on his deep throws. Perhaps most importantly, he keeps the game simple and makes good decisions.

Hunter Van Zant, Boonton, Jr. -- Van Zant has been unstoppable this season with 1,748 yards and 21 touchdowns. He has rushed over 200 yards five times this season, including a monstrous 364-yard, four-touchdown performance in a victory over Parsippany. Van Zant has rushed for over 100 yards in every game this year. He is a power runner, and he fits Boonton’s ground-and-pound style of play extremely well.
