Coach Penree outlines the Top Juniors this offseason

The Bridgeland Bears defeated the Cypress Lakes Spartans 59-3 on Friday. Their offense was stellar but we’re here to talk about the senior defense averaging these low scores. Largely in part due to Daniel Grisbee, Bryce McMorrisBryceMcMorris6'0" | DBBridgeland | 2021TX, Charles Moore, Roderick Gray and Garrett Hurley. They have anchored the defense through the trenches in blowout victories by imposing their wills on opposing offenses. Bridgeland’s D is impressive to say the least and these seniors are a big part why the Bears are undefeated. It’s tough to keep up with Conner WeigmanConnerWeigman6'1" | QBBridgeland | 2022StateTX and the Bears offense but the defense sometimes gets overshadowed by the high octane offense.

Daniel Grisbee #9 scooped up a loose pitch and took it to the house in the 1st half and after that the defense immediately played a dominant game. Grisbee is a senior who is tenacious off of the edge and is somebody that offensive coordinators have to gameplan for. His game is based on Bridgeland’s scheme to stop the QB pull from the read option. Grisbee does a tremendous job of making sure that his contain responsibilities are taken care of.  He is able to make sure that offenses do not get
