Lutmer led all of Class 2A in offensive touchdowns with 31 and offensive yards with 2,803. The Lions reached the title game, coming up just short in a tough loss to Waukon.
The 6-foot-0, 170-pound Lutmer completed just over 57 percent of his passes for nearly 1,200 yards, doing even more damage with his legs.

Showcasing his incredible athleticism, Lutmer ran 198 times for 1,609 yards, finding the end zone 23 times. He also displayed his skills on the defensive side of the ball, recording 34.5 tackles, two for loss, picking off four passes and returning two of those for scores.
Lutmer does an excellent job in RPOs, knowing exactly when to look down the field and when to take off. He shows great vision and has a nice first-step that allows him to separate from defenders.
In his first varsity start, Lutmer had 163 total yards and scored three touchdowns on just four pass completions and seven rush attempts. That is called being extremely effective with the ball.
It really will be a lot of fun watching Lutmer grow as a quarterback over these next two years. The experiences gained from this past fall will only help him in all aspects of the game.
