The next group of players to be reviewed in the State-Wide City Rankings are the defensive linemen.  Fourteen players made the cut.  These players are the best in the area:

 

#1.  Kaevon FreshwaterKaevonFreshwater6'5" | DLNortheastern | 2022StateNC, 6’5” 225 – Northeastern HS.  He is a dominant force on the field.  He simply overpowers the offensive linemen to make the tackle.  He has the speed to run sideline to sideline to make the play.  A big production season is expected from him and multiple P5 offers should start to come in for him.

 

   #2.  Chris Allen, 6’4” 240 – Wake Forest HS.  He sheds blockers quickly to disrupt and stop the play.  Displays great speed and strength to stop the ball carrier, often for lost yardage.  He is expected to continue his high level of play during the upcoming season.  He has an offer from Old Dominion Univ. and more D1 offers should start to come in for him.

 

   #3.  Beau AtkinsonBeauAtkinson6'6" | DLLeesville Road | 2022StateNC, 6’6” 215 – Leesville Road HS.  Displays a relentless effort to disrupt the play to make the tackle.  Displays good use of hands to maneuver around the offensive linemen to make the tackle.  He
