Five of the six teams from the district won at least three games, including 10 by Pleasant Valley.
Here’s a look at the offensive players who stood out this past year:
Barrett Lindmark, Pleasant Valley (2022)
There are a number of standout quarterbacks in the Class of 2022, and that list includes Pleasant Valley’s Barrett Lindmark. A dual-threat, Lindmark completed nearly 56 percent of his passes for 783 yards with 10 touchdowns, adding 666 yards and eight scores on the ground.
As you would expect with Lindmark being a gifted runner, he can make incredibly tough passes on the move. Going both to his left and right, he can fire the ball down the field with great accuracy.
Caden Kipper, Pleasant Valley (2021)
Nearly 1,200 yards rushing shows just how dangerous Caden Kipper can be. The Pleasant Valley senior scored eight touchdowns, adding another 140 yards and two scores through the air.
Kipper runs excellent routes out of the backfield, doing a great job of getting separation from himself and the defender. He’s also a tough runner willing to use his strength to move the pile.
Tynan Numkena Tynan Numkena 6'2" | 205 lbs | WR Bettendorf | 2022 State IA , Bettendorf (2022)
We got just a little taste of what Tynan Numkena Tynan Numkena 6'2" | 205 lbs | WR Bettendorf | 2022 State IA can do in 2021, and we should be given more next year. The Bettendorf junior ran for 324 yards, caught 28 passes for 336 and found the end zone eight times. Numkena also averaged nine yards on punt returns.
Numkena is a big, strong target that has no issues going across the middle to get open. Once he does, Numkena constantly brings in the ball without any trouble.
Max White Max White 5'10" | 190 lbs | ATH Kennedy | 2021 IA , Cedar Rapids Kennedy (2021)
The offers continue to roll in for Max White Max White 5'10" | 190 lbs | ATH Kennedy | 2021 IA , both at the Power 5 level as a preferred walk-on and other schools. White ran for 1,400 yards and scored 17 TDs this past fall while throwing for 554 and four more. He also returned kicks, averaging 23 yards per touch.
Where White plays at the next level remains a bit of a mystery, but regardless of the position, he will produce.
High-end speed, excellent vision and pure athleticism are just some of the key attributes for White.
