It has been a shorter, yet somehow long, season with many challenges to face and there are just four teams left and still vying for a state title in each classification.

The state’s elite teams have risen to the penultimate state with semifinals just about 24 hours away. With a full slate of semis on deck for Saturday, let’s take a look at each matchup and the game-changing recruits to keep an eye on, let’s continue with Class 4A.

No. 1 Dakota Ridge vs. No. 4 Loveland

Boy, has Dakota Ridge been on a tear this season.

In the quarterfinals, the coach Ron Woitalewicz’s team went ballistic in a 76-34 victory over Montrose. Quarterback Ben Gultig went 10 for 13 for 210 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for 101 yards and a score, while Noah Triplett (2023) rushed for 93 yards and three touchdowns. With everyone chipping in on Dakota Ridge’s 10 offensive scores, it was a light day for star running back Charles Offerdahl, who leads the team with 476 yards and 12 touchdowns.
