Haley currently ranks second in the nation with 10 interceptions. He is one behind the leader. Haley has recorded at least one interception in seven of eight games this season for St. Joe’s (Hamm.). This began right away when he notched exactly one pick in each of the first four games.
Haley had his first multi-interception game of the season in a 49-19 win over Cedar Creek when he had two. Recently, Haley set a season-high with three interceptions in a 13-0 win over Hammonton.
St. Joe’s (Hamm.) is currently 6-2 on the season and they are completely led by their defense. They have allowed 10 or more points just three times this season. In total, they have allowed 9.4 points per game this season and Haley has been the leader.
In the secondary, Haley is a ballhawk. That is clear from his stats and even more clear when watching the team in person. Haley has incredible instincts in the back end. He seems to be one step ahead of the offense at all times. As a junior, Haley has become a big name prospect that is gaining national attention from what he has accomplished on the field.
The skills and IQ on the field that Haley has at such a young age is truly astounding. He will have time to fine tune his game even more and take it to the next level in the offseason. As a senior, Haley will become an even bigger name which will come with big time offers. He is a name that we have not seen the last of. Haley will try to go from No. 2 to No. 1 next season on the interception list.
