Dillon Bell Dillon Bell 6'2" | 200 lbs | WR The Kinkaid School | 2022 State TX – With a few scholarship offers already under his belt this Falcon led the team and the district with 18 rushing touchdowns on 607 yards rushing. Bell is looking like an upper echelon type of talent that is flourishing in the moment. Bell swiftly evades defenders on the way to multiple touchdowns throughout the season. He easily has the notch of Player of the Year on this team. Dillon led this team through a season of uncertainty into a perfect season. The sky is the limit for Dillon as this Junior gets ready for college teams to come his way. Dillon also plays WR and has a very good understanding of the route tree concept. Watch out for Dillon this spring on the 7 on 7 circuit and be sure to check out his highlights. Dillon led the Falcons to a perfect season and deserves to be recognized for his 18 touchdown performance this season.
Louis Gustafson– Louis led the team in passing for 1026 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns. Louis’ decision making and playmaking led the team towards a perfect season this year. By being both agile and accurate Louis was able to pivot wins for the Falcons throughout their unpredictable season. Gustafson showed real leadership qualities in his junior year anchoring the offense steady throughout the year. Louis remains a player to watch in the 2021 season as he and Bell comeback to protect another perfect season. Louis doesn’t have many offers going into the offseason and should be a player to watch for next year. Louis also plays baseball in the spring for the Falcons as well. With Louis, the Falcons remain a contender next year and hope the quarterback comes back ready to do some more winning!
Alex Gottsegen- Gottsegen is the WR opposite of Bell and he makes sure that he capitalize off of the Bell double team. Alex finished the season with 18 catches, 363 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns. Alex being a Jr. is another piece of the core 2021 senior group Kinkaid will have with Bell and Gustafson. The chemistry Gottsegen provides with Bell is undeniably when the offense sells out towards the run. The Louis to Alex connection is one that will be featured next year and for certain will put on a show again next year. Alex currently does not have any offers, he is under the radar because of the short season Kinkaid had this year but is still a name that is popping up. The team next year is in for lofty expectations with the experience this trio presents.
Charlie Kugle- Kugle served as the team’s H-Back this year and did a fine job of doing the most with his opportunities. Kugle is also a key piece to the offensive puzzle for Kinkaid. Kugle was big in wins against Episcopal, St. John’s and Beaumont Kelly. Kugle understood his role and blocked very masterfully for Bell in their succession of their district. Charlie’s blocking abilities leads Dillon Bell Dillon Bell 6'2" | 200 lbs | WR The Kinkaid School | 2022 State TX to the promised land multiple times this year and is a key component to the Falcon offense. Charlie definitely has potential to play at the next level if his senior year goes the way it did this year. Kugle dominated the line of scrimmage and on pass plays he beat his first read and continued for yards after catch and first downs. It’s apparent Kugle is a leader on this team and still performs the best with Bell at tailback.
Micah Bell- Micah is a soph. RB who doubles between junior varsity and varsity, the reason he made this list is because of his junior varsity efforts and varsity efforts when accurate. He dominated at the JV level and is a player to watch for in the 2023 class. When he did get his varsity opportunity he scored like a professional into the endzone and showed that he has the prowess of a player with potential. Being behind Dillon is a tough task to do but Micah understood the importance of learning this season, taking his opportunity and growing in the process for a successful season regardless of the level of play. Bell is going to be a player to watch on the scene in 2021 most definitely!
The Kinkaid Falcons finished with a perfect season and these players led the program to that occasion, its been a blast covering the Falcons for the year and I look forward to seeing them next year with these same core group of guys. Congratulations, Kinkaid, now go win the offseason and 7 on 7!
