Defensive System- 4-3, Quarters zone
Moving away from an early playoff loss in 2019, the Falcons are looking to make a run at a conference championship and go deep in the state playoffs in 2021. Here is a look at the top juniors and sophomore prospects in the program.
Class of 2022
Riley Petersen- Junior- Wide Receiver/Slot- 5″ 10 175 lbs.
Riley is one of the top up-and-coming junior 2022 prospects in the state of Oregon. He has great ball skills and is a highly productive 3 sport athlete who lines up in multiple positions in the Falcons offense. Possess great explosion in his cuts. Runs terrific routs, getting space from his defenders. Also an excellent student with a 4.0 GPA. Great speed, size, and playmaking ability make him an FBS prospect in my projections. 1st team All-Conference honors as a sophomore in ’19.
Brody Crowley Brody Crowley 5'10" | 180 lbs | DB La Salle | 2022 State OR – Junior-InsideLinebacker/Strong Safety/ Running Back- 5’11 190 lbs.
Crowley is a hard-working, team leader at La Salle Prep. Excellent two way player with size and athleticism to keep growing as a player physically and developmentally. Good instinct and quickness to get to the ball on defense, Good ball skills, and coverage ability allow him to play a hybrid role at safety and linebacker. 3.7 GPA. Projects to play in the Ivy league FCS level.
Jacob Waterman- Junior- Wide Receiver- 6’0 160 lbs.
Jacob is growing into one of the top receiver prospects at the 5A level in the state of Oregon. Needs to put on some weight, but has a tall frame to keep growing vertically. Excellent foot movement and quick in his route running ability. Very productive and a solid all-around leader on and off the field. Top-notch hands and playmaking ability. Solid upside. Because of injury and weight questions, Waterman projects to play Division 2-3 in College but has the skill set to play FCS/FBS with growth and development. 3.6 GPA
Class of 2023
Kaenan Tarbett- Sophomore- Edge/Defensive End/ Tight End- 6’3 230 lbs.
Tarbett is an intriguing prospect to evaluate with his size and speed. Moves well off the edge and gets off of blocks quickly with explosive pop. Good hands to swim off the tackle. A long wingspan makes him ideal to play Defensive End and Tight End positions. Quick hip fluidity and ability to play the ball horizontally. Could also project as an outside linebacker with his pass-rushing ability at the FBS level in college. The very high upside to develop into a top prospect. Hard-working and smart. 3.3 GPA
James Menor- Sophomore- Running Back/Strong Safety/Return Specialist- 5’9 180 lbs.
One of the fastest players on the Falcons roster, Menor is the primary ball carrier in the backfield. Still growing as a sophomore, he plays mature and patient when he carries the ball. Extremely quick feet, and top-notch burst in space. Hard-working, dedicated athlete who projects as a lower FBS/High FCS prospect. 3.3 GPA. Had 5 kick returns for touchdowns in his first 3 games in 2019.Playmaker and game changer.
