However, many of these players are extremely talented and can be major contributors at the college level. Athletes have tons of versatility, which may be the most important quality to have in football. Here are the most underrated ATH in the 2021 NC class:
Glenwood Robinson Glenwood Robinson 6'0" | 190 lbs | ATH Mooresville | 2021 State NC , ATH, 6’0 and 195 lbs, Mooresville HS
Robinson mainly played running back and showcased excellent vision/patience before squeezing through the hole. He also possesses very good lateral quickness that he uses to get around defenders and cut in the open field. Glenwood can be a receiving option out of the backfield because of his great hands and shiftiness. Robinson is always finishing runs with his powerful legs and is a reliable blocker for any offense. He has big play ability as a result of his impressive acceleration. Currently has 2 offers.
Kiylan Miller Kiylan Miller 6'3" | 170 lbs | ATH Chase | 2021 State NC , ATH, 6’3 and 180 lbs, Chase HS
Miller played WR and DB this past season and was effective for both positions. As a defensive back, he displayed incredible closing speed and a unique ability to recognize plays. Kiylan has great ball skills at the catch point and can be a hard hitter when making the tackle. He takes excellent angles to the ball carrier and can recover when he gets beat deep. As a WR, his straight-line speed allows him to beat the defender on long routes and is talented enough to adjust to inaccurate throws. This high effort player has committed to Coastal Carolina.
Jonathan Streeter Jonathan Streeter 5'11" | 175 lbs | ATH Panther Creek | 2021 State NC , ATH, 5’11 and 175 lbs, Panther Creek HS
Streeter was another athlete that played WR and DB this past season. On offense, he consistently got behind the defense and made contested catches. Also, Streeter knows how to make plays along the sideline and is athletic enough to high point the ball. He’s an elite route runner that uses his speed to gain yards after the catch. Great on WR screens. As a defender, Jonathan possesses perfect tackling technique and the skill to strip the ball away from opponents. He is very good at forcing incompletions and turnovers. Has already committed to App State.
Jadarion Chatman Jadarion Chatman 6'0" | 180 lbs | ATH Lumberton | 2021 State NC , 6’0 and 180 lbs, Lumberton HS
Chatman mainly played QB, but ran the ball almost more than he threw it. He is an elusive player that always makes the first defender miss and is hard to bring down in the open field. In the pocket he has elite escapability and is so good at extending plays while keeping his eyes on the WRs. Jadarion isn’t afraid to run defenders over which shows his physical toughness as a player. He is best at the touch pass and anticipating where his teammates will run to. Also has a strong arsenal of juke moves and acceleration. No known offers to this point.
