We aren’t done yet, though. We still have one more week, and eight impressive performances on the offensive side of the ball that I want to spotlight before we say goodbye to the season. So, let’s not waste any more time and dive into the performances!
Joe Ollman, Junior RB- Homestead
Stat Line: 34 Carries, 223 Rushing Yards, 1 TD, 2 Returns for 30 Yards
Ollman handled a huge workload this week for Homestead and proved that he can handle that much work. Joe has the size, strength, and play speed to have success carry 1 through carry 34. He showed off his patience in a lot of his clips as he would allow his blocks to setup instead of just blowing past them and trying to do it all on his own. Then when he got into space he was bigger than a lot of the secondary and proved to be hard to bring down for just one defender. Check him out! I hope Joe gets the attention he deserves going forward now that his junior season has come to an end. Ollman’s Final Week Highlights
Demarion Cobb Demarion Cobb 5'11" | 200 lbs | RB Racine St. Catherine | 2021 State WI , Senior RB- St. Catherine’s
Stat Line: 33 Carries, 160 Rushing Yards, 1 TD
Demarion ended his high school career with a strong performance where he once again showed off his traits. He has plenty of size for the next level and it comes with the contact balance and play speed you want to see. Cobb also proved that he can handle a big workload without losing a step with this 33 carry performance. Cobb showed off the vision again that has caught my attention for several weeks. He can find the smallest creases and hit them with his short area burst that leads to nice chunk plays when it looks like there wasn’t any room for him to gain anything on the play. I’ll be following Demarion’s offseason closely. Check him out. Cobb’s Final Week Highlights
Ben Wesolowski Ben Wesolowski 6'2" | 180 lbs | ATH Wittenberg-Birnamwood | 2022 State WI , Junior QB- Wittenberg- Birnamwood
Stat Line: 315 Passing Yards, 3 Passing TDs, 1 Rushing TD. Bonus: 2 INTs on Defense
Ben is a fun QB to watch. It’s like a backyard football game when you click on the tape as he runs around to buy time and throws passes off platform. There was even a play where the defense was dragging him down in the pocket and he still completed a pass. He is a gamer. Ben is a nice athlete and he can zip the ball around the yard with accuracy either from the pocket or on the run. He can get the ball out of his hands quickly too. Multiple times in this week’s film he fired balls over the middle without any steps. Just catch and release. His athleticism translated to defense too as he used his range to make his interceptions as he would come off his original coverage to go make a play on the ball. Ben’s Final Week Highlights
Nick Hansen, Senior QB- Marquette
Stat Line: 175 Passing Yards, 1 Passing TD, 202 Rushing Yards, 2 Rushing TDs, 1 Receiving TD
Nick can sling it with accuracy and anticipation. He did a great job in this week’s film of throwing it to where his receiver was going to be right on time. He can slice and dice a defense with his arm and showed off the accuracy while in the pocket and on the run. Nick is also a next level athlete. He showed off some serious speed on a few carries where he left defensive backs in his dust. He is a powerful runner just as much as he is fast. He ran through several good tackle attempts this week. This was some great film to end a career on. Hard to believe he doesn’t have more interest. There aren’t any posts related to offers or interests on his Twitter account. Either he hasn’t posted them or it is time to steal an impressive athlete. Check him out!
Nick Ferge Nick Ferge 6'5" | 190 lbs | WR Marquette University | 2022 State WI , Junior WR- Marquette
Stat Line: 7 Receptions, 100 Receiving Yards
Ferge is a big target at 6’5″ 185 lbs and boy does he know how to use it to win battles already. On several of his receptions this week Nick did a great job of using that elite size to create separation between defenders and the ball. He proved he can go up in traffic and bring it in with strong hands and he showed that is a willing blocker out in space. Nick is going to be an intriguing possession receiver and redzone threat as a senior. He has plenty of play speed for the position too. Keep your eye on this kid next season. There is a lot of potential to work with here.
Luke Haertle Luke Haertle 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB Lake Country Lutheran | 2022 State WI , Junior QB- Lake Country Lutheran
Stat Line: 18/23, 259 Passing Yards, 5 Passing TDs, 12 Carries, 139 Rushing Yards, 1 Rushing TD
This is how you end the season on a high note. What a stat line for Luke. He has the size already at 6’4″ 200 lbs and really good athleticism to make him a dual threat QB. That athleticism showed up in his ability to maneuver in the pocket and roll out to buy more time. One of his TD passes was an impressive throw while rolling to his left with pressure behind him. He delivered the ball perfectly to where only his receiver could go up and get it in traffic. Luke has a few clips from this week where he dropped dimes over the outstretched hands of the defenders. Check him out and remember the name for next year. Luke’s Final Week Highlights
Kyle Brewster, Senior RB/DB- Edgar
Stat Line: 19 Carries, 169 Rushing Yards, 3 Rushing TDs. Bonus: 3 Tackles, 1 Sack on Defense
I watched Kyle live this week and he put on a show. His very good play speed and contact balance are the perfect combination for the role he played on the Edgar offense. They use him a lot to attack the edges of the defense. Out on the edge he can be in space and use his elusiveness paired with the speed and contact balance to either make defenders miss one on one or run through their arm tackle attempts. He can score from anywhere on the field. Kyle broke contain for big plays a lot on Thursday night thanks to those three traits. He ended up being one of the best scorers in the state this season. Check out his season highlights! Kyle’s Season Highlights
Matt Wagner, Junior WR- Kettle Moraine
Stat Line: 5 Receptions, 118 Receiving Yards, 1 Receiving TD, 1 Carry, 15 Rushing Yards
Matt continued to show that he is one of the more well rounded receivers, that played this fall, as they closed out the season with the win. He won reps inside and outside with his route running and awareness. Check out his first play to see his burst take him from 0 to top speed real quick. His top end speed and ability to adjust to the ball while it is in the air jumped off the tape on several plays this week as well. So did his ability to make the catch in traffic. He should be a highly targeted recruit as colleges turn their focus to the 2022 class this spring. I don’t see many limitations in his game. Check out this week’s film! Matt’s Final Week Highlights
