Good luck guarding this guy in the red zone. English has the leaping ability and soft hands that you look for in a tight end prospect. He’s easily capable of splitting out at x receiver and at times will drag defenders after the catch. He’s tough as a blocker on the perimeter and will even drive defensive backs out of bounds doing so. English is a freaky athlete with a ton of upside. If you’re looking for a tight end prospect watch English’s film, you won’t be disappointed.
OL: Roderick Green, 6’5, 305, Springfield
Green has the size and athleticism you look for in a Division I offensive lineman. He moves exceptionally well for a big man, can reach five-techniques & can get out and lead the way in the screen game. Right now, he plays tackle, but I think he’s an FBS guard. He can pull with relative ease and lead the way on both counter and sweep schemes. Right now, he’s got three FCS offers, but I think Green is an FBS type kid and should pick up some late interest here.
Phoenix Wolf, 6’3, 188, Waverly
Wolf is a longer kid that has surprisingly good wiggle for an outside receiver. On film, he can make plays in multiple different ways such as a passing concept, the screen game, or even carrying the ball on a jet sweep. He shows the ability to quickly stick his toe in the ground & get north and south, before making it a race to the goal line. Wolf can contort his body and make tough catches look almost effortless. Right now, he only holds offers from Morehead State & a few NAIA programs.
Aneesh Vyas, 6’2, 260, Lakota West
This young man does a great job of putting speed to power and will drive blockers into the backfield if he has to. He’s relentless when it comes to getting after the quarterback and his motor is going at all times. He’s got a mean push and pull that he’s used to defeat tackles in both pass and run block situations. Vyas is a strong hand fighter and will swat down an opposing tackles punch if need be. The penetration that he caused this season was almost silly and could be his best asset. Valparaiso and Dayton have both offered, look for more FCS schools to come into the mix as well.
Logyn Ratliff, 6’2, 175, New Lexington
Ratliff can really sling it, and it was not uncommon to see him uncork 50 yard plus bombs as a junior. On film, he’s calm & composed in the pocket and does a good job of working through his progression. He’s a solid anticipatory thrower and does an adequate job of throwing his targets open. He shows good running ability as well and isn’t afraid to pull the zone-read if the defensive end crashes down. Right now, it’s mainly Division III schools battling it out for his services, but I think this young man is somewhere between an FCS & Division II type quarterback.
