Once again this season, the Kissimmee Osceola Kowboys have played tough football and featured so many gifted prospects during a tough pandemic year.

When Kissimmee Osceola beat Palm Harbor University 46-3 in a state 8A playoff game last Friday, it added to what has been an interesting season for this program.

While many other programs had been mentioned as a favorite to get to the state title game, this is one of those that many were not paying attention to – and that may have been a mistake.

With 9-1 Sarasota Riverview coming up this Friday, this team can change a lot of opinions and move one step closer to playing for a state championship.

With 10 seniors in the mix, it has been essential for this team to get in those games – and advancing in the state playoffs has certainly been a plus for a program that has long been competitive.

HOW THEY GOT TO 6-2

Despite losing to 7A power Orlando Edgewater, 31-24, and to always tough 8A Vero Beach, 34-7, this team has looked impressive. Beating Kissimmee Liberty (56-0), Orlando Cypress Creek (56-0), St. Cloud (35-13), Kissimmee Tohopekaliga (29-0), Lake Nona (34-7) and the win over Palm Harbor University.
