Davison (9-0) vs Detroit Catholic Central (9-0) will be one of the bigger matchups this week as both teams are fill with talent. Both of these teams are contenders to win the state title and I’m excited to see who comes out on top once play resumes.
Davison Cardinals
Brendan Sullivan Brendan Sullivan 6'4" | 190 lbs | QB Davison | 2021 State MI | QB | 2021 (Northwestern commit)
Sullivan is the top senior quarterback prospect in the state and has been crucial to Davison’s success the past few seasons. He has a great frame to fill out with a good arm, solid accuracy and a pretty quick release. There is a good chance he develops into Northwestern’s next starter under center.
Harrison Unger Harrison Unger 6'2" | 235 lbs | DL Davison | 2021 State MI | DL | 2021 (Air Force commit)
Unger is Davison’s other FBS prospect and is set to play his college ball at Air Force. His size and length are intriguing, but he shows the ability to shed blocks at the POA and has the versatility to play either standing up or with his hand in the dirt.
Jaylen Murray-Flowers Jaylen Murray-Flowers 5'10" | 150 lbs | DB Davison | 2021 State MI | DB | 2021
Murray-Flowers is a very underrated prospect that can play on either side of the ball at the next level. He is a great athlete with good speed and he consistently makes plays in the secondary. He holds offers from Northwood, Graceland, Lake Erie and Albion, but could receive more as we enter December.
Te’Avion Warren Te’Avion Warren 5'8" | 180 lbs | RB Davison | 2021 State MI | RB | 2021
A transfer from Grand Blanc, Warren has been a great addition to this roster. He shows great vision and good speed for the position, but he can also get the job done as a receiver as well. He has just one offer from Wayne State, but he is a prospect that should be garnering much more attention.
Yousef Dukuly Yousef Dukuly 6'5" | 260 lbs | OL Davison | 2021 State MI | OL | 2021
Dukuly is a prospect that hasn’t gotten the recruiting attention he deserves. He is a great athlete for the position with the frame that college coaches love to develop. He holds offers from Northern Michigan, Mount Union and Wayne State, but a player with his ability should have much more than that.
Detroit Catholic Central Shamrocks
Bruno Guberinich Bruno Guberinich 6'5" | 260 lbs | DL Catholic Central | 2021 State MI | OL/DL | 2021 (Central Michigan commit)
Guberinich is the top prospect on this team and makes an impact on both sides of the ball. I think he projects best on the defensive line where he uses his size and length to consistently disrupt opposing offenses. He recently flipped his committed from Grand Valley State to Central Michigan and is expected to play offensive line for the Chippewas.
Brayden Courser Brayden Courser 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB Detroit Catholic Central | 2023 State MI | LB | 2023
Courser is just a sophomore, but he has already established himself as one of the top linebackers in his class. He shows solid instincts and range and already has D1 size. I’m excited to see if he picks up any offers this offseason.
Sam Dersa Sam Dersa 5'11" | 180 lbs | WR Catholic Central | 2021 State MI | WR | 2021 (Saginaw Valley State commit)
Dersa is a talented receiver, but he makes plays in all phases for the Shamrocks. He is a talented route runner with solid speed and good hands. He is set to play his college ball for Saginaw Valley State where he could develop into a starter for them.
Declan Byle Declan Byle 6'2" | 170 lbs | QB Catholic Central | 2022 State MI | QB | 2022
Byle is one of the top junior quarterbacks in the state and this could be a statement game for him. He has good size with an adequate arm and the ability to throw accurately on the move. He shows really good pocket presence for a player his age and will have a chance to show he can compete with the best when he goes up against a talented Davison defense.
Kamron Davenport | DB | 2022
Davenport has enjoyed a breakout season, but his best football may be ahead of him. He is a long athlete that has made standout plays in coverage all year. He hasn’t picked up any offers yet, but the sky is the limit on his ceiling.
