Passing Yards/Passing TDs: Richard Stallworth, QB, Yuma Catholic, 2023
Stats: 3,122 yards with 41 touchdowns, 68% completion, 137 QBR
Stallworth shows good pocket presence and patience allowing plays to develop while he scans the field and keeps his feet active. Stands tall in the pocket with a well-balanced platform and strong base. Showed a good ability to make throws at all three levels with accuracy and timing whether it was from the pocket or on the run.
Rushing Yards, Total Touchdowns/points: Howard Russell, ATH, Phoenix Christian, 2021
Stats: 1,554 yards rushing with 23 TDs on 152 carries. 182 total points scored.
Russell did it all for Phoenix Christian filling the stat sheet on both sides of the ball. He’s an explosive playmaker that can beat you in a variety of ways with his natural ability and talent. He’s a smooth quick twitch athlete with good burst and top end speed. He’s a slashing ball carrier that cuts on a dime and shows good acceleration out of his cuts. He has great instincts and game awareness, always putting himself in position to make plays. A normal offseason would’ve benefitted his recruiting allowing him to showcase his ability at camps but has great potential and upside for the college level.
Receiving Yards: Daylen Batchan, WR, Estrella Foothills, 2021
Stats: 940 yards receiving on 54 receptions and 11 touchdowns.
Good frame at 6’2 185 lbs. with length. He’s a strong technical receiver that is creative in his route running and how he creates separation. He is a natural pass catcher with plus athleticism and body control to bring in tough and contested receptions. Great ability to track/adjust to the ball and make plays along the boundary. Good vertical threat but also effective across the middle and on short/intermediate routes. Not a burner but strong after the catch with his ability to make defenders miss and break tackles in the open field. Good all around football player that also made plays in the secondary for Estrella Foothills.
Total Tackles: Trey Reynolds Trey Reynolds 6'2" | 235 lbs | LB Queen Creek | 2021 State AZ , LB, Queen Creek, 2021
Stats: 144 total tackles
The Utah commit is one of the top LB’s in the country. Great combination of size and raw athleticism. He’s a downhill LB that plays fast, physical, and is always attacking. He plays well with his eyes and shows advanced instincts and awareness to diagnose plays quickly and accurately. He’s decisive and commits to his reads that allows him to close space quickly to make plays all over the field. A strong and sure tackler both in the box and in open space. Very difficult to block with his strength and ability to shed blocks and redirect.
Sacks: Isaiah Williams, DL, Marcos De Niza, 2022
Stats: 16 sacks
He has a good first step off the ball and is extremely powerful at the contact point using his strong 6’0” 267 lb. frame. He has good feet and lateral mobility that allow him to work down the line of scrimmage smoothly to make a tackle. Understands how to use his hands to his advantage and does a good job fighting off blocks and locating the ball carrier. He’s a violent and physical tackler and excels rushing the passer.
Interceptions: Demetrius Harmon, DB, Washington, 2022
Stats: 7 interceptions
Harmon is a good athlete that was an explosive playmaker in all three facets of the game for Washington. Possesses good speed, quickness, and lateral agility. He has fluid hips and quick feet that allow him to transition well and change directions on a dime. Strong ball skills, not a big guy but tracks the ball well and attacks it in the air with confident hands. Has the ability to be rangy from the free safety position and cover a lot of ground quickly. Great slot receiver and returner in addition to leading the state in interceptions.
