Perhaps, one of the biggest components to this team’s success is their offensive performance. This season, they have managed to put up over 230 points, with most of their games having a score of more than 21 points. The Hornets offense, led by QB, Robbie Roper Robbie Roper 6'3" | 210 lbs | QB Roswell | 2022 State GA , who has had over 1,700 passing yards, has managed to have a successful attack on defenses through the air. Specifically, Roper has thrown for 16 TD’s this season, with most of them going to WR, Marquis Willis. In total, Willis has accumulated over 600 receiving yards, for 5 TD’s. Along with Willis, receivers such as Michael Fitzgerald, who has 5 TD’s as well, as well as Zeke Moore, and Shaun Spence, have all contributed in their own way, as each has put up their own respective amount of yards. On the ground, the team has also had a ton of success, as Ryan Hill, and Ryan Stephens have complied plenty of yards, contributing to a team rushing total of more than 1,700 yards and 15 TD’s.
On defense, the Hornets have also seen a ton of success as they have managed to only allow 148 points so far this season. In total, the team has managed to accumulate 12 sacks to this point of the season, while also racking up 10 interceptions. Ethan Nation, who has 7 interceptions on his own, has emerged as a force for the defense, and is on some of the top statistical charts for GA DB’s. With this, players such as Evan Plunkett, and Chase Morrison have also continued to show out, as they have made timely stops for the defense, while also making an impact with QB pressures. As the defense continues to do its part to help the team succeed, also be looking for Kuba Evans and Case Barrett, as they have found ways to fly around the football at a consistent rate as well. Each of these prospects have proven to be a positive impact on the team as well, as they have stepped up to the plate time, and time again.
