There were several players that stood out in last week’s section round of the playoffs in class 5A.  These player helped advance their team to the final four where they will have an opportunity to advance to the state championship following a victory on Friday Night.  Here are some of the players who played really well last week.

Mill Valley Defense

The entire defense of the Mill Valley Jaguars are worthy of a game ball due to the fact that they held the explosive offense of De Soto to just 13 points in a 16-13 victory of Friday night.  Going into the game, De Soto averaged 42.2 points per game on offense in 2020.  The only time this season where they scored less than 34 points was against Mill Valley in week 2.  In 2020, Mill Valley has given up just 15 points a game and have only given up 7.4 points per game in the last 5 games which were all victories for Mill Valley.  On Friday Night, they will play Aquinas who have looked impressive on offense averaging 40 points in their two playoff victories.
