When it comes to playoff football, with the season on the line,  we can expect some players to elevate their game to a new level.  In last week’s sectional championship round, a pair of underclassmen stole the show and helped their teams advance to the regional round of the Indiana post-season tournament.

Joe Walker, WR - Warren Central, 2023

Sophomore wideout Joe Walker was phenomenal in the Warren Central sectional championship win over the favorite Lawrence North. The North Wildcats have their own phenom at receiver in Omar CooperOmarCooper6'1" | WRLawrence North | 2022StateIN Jr, but it was Walker who walked away with the hardware. The  6’5 receiver hauled in 7 catches for 109 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Carson Clark, QB - Bishop Luers, 2022

A slow start this season by the Fort Wayne school, Bishop Luers, would lead football fans to believe their tournament run would likely be short. However, junior quarterback Carson Clark and company have other plans.  The Knights limped into the tournament with a 3-6 record, but have rallied 3 tournament wins, thanks in part to the play of Clark.
