The Centennial (Corona) defensive end will take an unofficial visit to Clemson this weekend. He originally committed to Clemson in February but reopened his commitment a few months later. At the Stack Sports Showcase a couple of weeks ago, Foreman’s father Kevin was seen wearing a Clemson shirt.
“We’re excited to get out there,” Kevin Foreman told Greg Biggins of 247Sports. “My wife and I will be coming along with Korey and this will be our last visit. Clemson has always been in it and we have maintained a good relationship with those coaches and have a lot of respect for them.”
“They have a great team and a great staff. We like coach (Dabo) Swinney and coach (Brent) Venables is a great defensive mind and has been very active recruiting Korey.”

Experts have been mixed regarding which school they expect Foreman to attend. People have predicted that he will attend LSU, Georgia, Arizona State or USC. Recently it was rumored that Foreman wanted to stay close to home and that’s why USC and Arizona State have become favorites. Arizona State was not among the finalists he listed in July.
“We visited ASU a month or so ago and it was eye opening,” Foreman said. “Herm Edwards is a really impressive guy and he’s running that program like an NFL team. They have everything in place to be successful on and off the field and I know Korey really liked it there a lot.”
“For us, it’s not going to be about picking the biggest name school but the best overall fit. ASU can prepare you as well as anyone and Herm is so well connected because of his NFL background.”

USC is a favorite because Foreman was a fan of USC when he was a child. The coaching staff at USC has done a good job staying in touch with Foreman and his former Centennial teammate Drake Jackson plays there. According to Biggins, people at USC feel that they are in Foreman’s top two.
Foreman will announce his decision on January 2nd at the All-American Bowl show.
“It was always his dream to announce at the game but with the game being canceled, this is the next best thing,” Foreman said.
