Aupiu committed to UCLA on April 24. He is a three star outside linebacker according to 247Sports and has gained 15 pounds since the end of last season.
He is expected to forgo his senior season at Pacifica and enroll early at whichever school he chooses, which makes him an attractive prospect to a school like Notre Dame.
Aupiu is the No. 7 linebacker in the state according to Prep Redzone.
He had 62 tackles and 11 sacks for a state champion Pacifica team last season.

Chaminade receiver goes Ivy League
Jordan McIntyre of Chaminade (West Hills) announced his commitment to Brown University on Tuesday.
He had seven offers before committing to Brown. His other Division 1 offers included Dayton, San Diego and Valparaiso.
McIntyre caught 44 passes for 489 yards and three touchdowns for Chaminade last season, a CIF runner up.
He is the first player from California in Brown’s 2021 recruiting class.

Rancho Cucamonga cornerback commits
Tristyn Flores Tristyn Flores 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Rancho Cucamonga | 2021 State CA of Rancho Cucamonga announced his commitment to Idaho last week.
He had 24 tackles and eight pass deflections for the Cougars last season. He had an interception that he returned 40 yards for a touchdown in a 42-28 win against Chino Hills.
Prior to his commitment to Idaho, Flores had offers from Arizona State, Florida Atlantic, Lehigh, Northern Arizona and Southern Utah.
He is the fourth player from California in Idaho’s 2021 recruiting class, joining three San Diego prospects: Nico Estrada from Kearny, Ja’Shon Williams from Lincoln and Isiah King from Montgomery.

Arizona offers local kid who transferred from Mater Dei
Receiver Elijah Barclay Elijah Barclay 6'2" | 175 lbs | WR San Juan Hills | 2022 State CA from Salpointe Catholic (Tuscon) was offered by Arizona on Friday.
Barclay transferred to Salpointe Catholic from Mater Dei shortly after it was announced that high school sports in California would be delayed until January at the earliest.
He only had one varsity catch for Mater Dei as a sophomore last season, but did very well on the camp circuit last offseason.
Barclay is the leading receiver at Salpointe Catholic with 12 catches for 285 yards and five touchdowns in three games played.
He also has offers from Illinois State, Purdue and TCU.

Mission Viejo running back commits
The leading rusher on one of the state’s top programs announced his commitment to Northern Colorado on Tuesday.
Jacquez Robertson of Mission Viejo also had an offer from San Diego State prior to his commitment to Northern Colorado.
Robertson rushed for 832 yards on 155 carries with 15 touchdowns for the Diablos last season.
He is the second player from California in Northern Colorado’s 2021 recruiting class, joining Tyler Jensen of Lincoln (San Diego).
