Rodney Clemente Rodney Clemente 5'10" | 170 lbs | RB Hamilton | 2021 State AZ , RB, 5’10″ 180lbs, Hamilton HS
Clemente is a legit D1 talent, but didn’t get a full season due to the transfer rule (transfer from Chandler). He shows excellent speed all around and hits top speed almost immediately. If he gets he shoulders square upfield, nobody will catch him in the second level. He accelerates through the hole and shows excellent fast twitch and lateral agility and is very explosive out of his cuts, with the ability to make defenders miss both at the LOS and in open field. Clemente can be physical at the point of contact and has excellent balance, but is your speedy type back. He has shown the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield or even stretch the field vertically in the pass game. He is one of the biggest threats in Arizona and played lights out in the playoffs, and will only continue to produce and get better wherever he ends up. He is a “must offer” if you’re looking for a playmaker at RB.
Nate Wright, ATH, 6’0″ 180lbs, Prescott HS
Wright is the definition of an iron man football player and can find success at any position asked of him. As a RB, he has a good eye for the hole and accelerates through the hole with solid physicality at the point of contact. He possesses good second level speed for big play ability and can make defenders miss in open space. Wright can catch the ball out of the backfield, or line up as a receiver and run crisp routes with coordination. He has shown to be effective as a blocker in both the run and pass game as well. On defense, he roamed the field at LB, FS, and SS and shows a quick reaction with good instincts. He is very strong at the POA with a good striking ability and closes well on opponents. He plays with a high motor and can fit into numerous defensive schemes at the next level. Wright is a complete all around football player, and will be a steal with whatever program he ends up with.
Earnest Greenwood Earnest Greenwood 5'7" | 160 lbs | RB Goldwater | 2021 State AZ , ATH, 5’7″ 150lbs, Goldwater HS
Don’t overlook Greenwood because of his size. He plays with a high motor and has big play ability every time he touches the ball. As a RB, he shows excellent vision with a fast twitch, jittery style. He shows a good initial burst through the LOS and keeps a low pad level, then does a good job of bouncing runs to the numbers to create space to set up cutbacks or give himself more room to work. He has solid lateral agility and can cut on a dime. He lined up as a WR often this season as well, and showed an excellent initial get off and used his speed to get over the top of manned up CB’s for big plays. He did a good job in the screen game as an outside WR by getting upfield quickly after the catch. Greenwood has good position versatility and can either stay at RB, or move to slot or CB at the next level, and can serve as a return specialist as well.
Terren Green, LB/RB, 5’11″ 180lbs, Snowflake HS
As a ball carrier, Green shows an aggressive north-south style with excellent physicality at the point of contact. I didn’t see anyone in 3A tackle Green head up one on one, as he does a great job of bouncing off non-wrapping tackles while keeping his momentum forward for solid chunks of yards. He was a standout RB, but I believe he does his best work as a LB. He shows excellent reaction and closes very well on ball carriers. Green fills alleys exceptionally well and is a fundamental tackler with a solid striking ability and is very strong at the POA. He has solid range and pursuit at LB as well. He looks athletic and coordinated when dropping into coverage and was athletic enough to man up on most 3A RB’s if he needed to. Green would transition nicely as a LB at the NAIA-D2 level.
Jacob Lemieux, DB/WR, 5’9″ 160lbs, McClintock HS
As a DB, Lemieux shows excellent range and does a great job covering ground. He shows a solid change of direction and does a good job baiting QB’s into throws to break on the ball quick, making him a legit ball hawk. He has good ball skills overall and has matured into a promising cover safety. He does a good job closing on receivers and initiating contact immediately after the catch. He could improve as a tackler, but shows potential to develop into a solid DB at the college level. As a WR, he shows solid hands and is a shifty playmaker in open space. I believe Lemiuex has high potential and would transition nicely as a DB at the next level.
