The Tigers have the potential to have one of the most dangerous wide receiver corps in the state next season. Bentonville has several players that have the potential to be playing on Saturdays in the future. We will examine a few of the players that will have an impact as seniors next season.
Cooper Smith-Wide Receiver
I have said in a previous article that Smith has division one talent. Smith runs routes in crisp fashion and is a wide receiver that always seems to find himself open. He rarely drops passes and is a player that will gain separation from how precise his routes are. Smith has the speed to keep the opposing defensive backs guessing. Smith has the potential to explode on the recruiting during the offseason and during seven-on-seven tournaments.
Chas Nimrod Chas Nimrod 6'2" | 170 lbs | WR Bentonville | 2022 State AR -Wide Receiver
The talent that the Tigers have at the wide receiver position is a bit ridiculous. Nimrod is a big play wide receiver that scouts, and fans are always looking to find. He does a great job of using his quickness to create separation. Nimrod does a fantastic job of being able to play the ball in the air and highpoint the football. He makes the game look extremely easy. Nimrod has the potential to play division one football as well and it will be interesting to see how he improves during the offseason. With any luck we will get the chance to watch the Tigers during seven-on-seven play this offseason.
Drew Wright-Quarterback
Drew Wright was the backup quarterback for the Tigers during the 2020 season. Wright has displayed a strong arm and he is able to hit his receivers in stride. He possesses good size at 6-4 and 193 lbs. Wright is mobile enough to move around in the pocket and extend plays. He has shown that he does not mind using his legs to pick up first downs and extend drives. Wright will have an opportunity to earn this job this season. He is a player that could see his recruiting really take off during the offseason and during seven-on-seven tournaments.
