These five athletes don’t currently have any offers on the table according to 247sports, however that is something that may change in the coming months. All of these players are capable of playing at the next level and can create a positive impact wherever they end up. With that being said, let’s dive a little deeper into each athlete and their skill set.
Kobe Hubbard Kobe Hubbard 6'6" | 320 lbs | OL North Salem | 2021 OR – OT, 6’6 320 lbs. – North Salem High School (Salem, OR)
The first thing that stands out when you see Hubbard is his size. He played a lot of left tackle his junior year, which suits him perfectly. Every time he lines up on the ball he adds some excitement to the position, driving his opponent back and often to the ground. Hubbard has powerful hands which make him even more lethal and explosive in the run game. He can also have a big impact on screen plays, with his ability to get downfield quickly and throw key blocks.
Thomas McNamara Thomas McNamara 5'11" | 190 lbs | DB West Linn | 2021 State OR – ATH, 5’11 187 lbs. – West Linn High School (West Linn, OR)
Listed as an athlete, McNamara plays OLB and RB for the Lions. However, he has made is mark on the defensive end, where in 2019 he earned 1st team honors for the Three Rivers League at the linebacker position. Thomas McNamara Thomas McNamara 5'11" | 190 lbs | DB West Linn | 2021 State OR is a “gamer” who hits hard and never gives up on a play. He has quick closing speed coming off the edge, forcing backs to the sideline. His speed is also utilized in man to man coverage and when facing a runner coming out of the backfield.
Sabastian Peiffer – ILB, RB, 6’1 220 lbs – Gladstone High School (Gladstone, OR)
This is a player who is just fun to watch. He delivers a hit on both sides of the ball and plays with a lot of energy. One thing that sticks out with Peiffer is his vision. On the offensive end, he finds his hole and gets up field. On the defensive side, he understands the play as it’s happening and picks the right moment to attack. Whether he’s running the ball, blocking for his teammates, or lining up at the backer position, Sabastian Peiffer is going to make something happen every opportunity he gets.
Ryan Rosumny Ryan Rosumny 6'1" | 170 lbs | QB La Salle | 2021 OR – QB, 6’2 180 lbs. – La Salle Catholic College Preparatory (Portland, OR)
A three sport athlete, Ryan Rosumny Ryan Rosumny 6'1" | 170 lbs | QB La Salle | 2021 OR can do a little bit of everything, which is showcased on the football field. He throws the deep ball extremely well, putting it on the receiver’s back shoulder, and allowing them to run underneath it. He can also use his legs to create and extend plays along with the ability to throw on the run. What I like most about Rosumny is his decisiveness. He makes quick decisions, taking what the defense gives him, and never tries to do too much.
Trevor Jaasko Trevor Jaasko 6'2" | 170 lbs | WR Crater | 2021 State OR – ATH, 6’2 170 lbs. – Crater High School (Central Point, OR)
What jumps out about Jaasko is his route running ability, he is an extremely versatile receiver. Always a deep ball threat, he averaged over 16 yards per catch during his junior year. His route running ability opens up the rest of the field and allows him to find space over the middle. Jaasko had the opportunity to show his potential last summer during a Pylon 7 on 7 event with a number of other top high school athletes from the state of Oregon.
