Ty helped lead the Braves to a 7-1 record and a second round game in the OHSAA playoffs. While accounting for an impressive 23 TD’s on the season (15 passing 8 rushing), those numbers would have been much gaudier had his offense not jumped out to huge leads in nearly every game causing Indian Hill to reign things in. Thornton is an easy athlete who can make plays from both inside and outside of the pocket. He’s especially comfortable rolling out and making throws on the run. Ty has a live arm, with easy arm strength, and a nice deep ball. His ability to use his athleticism to create is going to put extraordinary pressure on defensive coordinators at the college level. For this reason I like Ty in a spread offense that is RPO heavy. This offense will allow him to put both his run and pass abilities on display while stressing defenses. The bloodlines are there with Thornton as well, father John was a former 2nd round draft pick who played 10 years in the NFL. Brother Jalen is a redshirt freshman on the defensive line at West Virginia. To date Ty has interest from Penn State and Nebraska of the Big Ten, AAC Champion Cincinnati Bearcats, and Miami of Ohio.
Christian Kirenga 6’1 180 Archbishop Alter- Kirenga is a physical corner with great size. He’s the kind of defensive back who’s a strong open field tackler who loves to come up and make the stick. At the college level I think he could play in a man or zone schemes, but I like him most as an outside corner in a press man scheme. With his size and physicality Kirenga presents an excellent punch at the line of scrimmage. In
coverage he has the fluidity of the hips and speed to turn and run with most any wide receiver. Christian has good ball instincts and is fundamentally sound in playing the ball versus the receiver. After a strong junior campaign he already has a D1 FCS offer from Eastern Illinois and FBS interest from Big 12 Iowa State and Mid-Majors Bowling Green, Akron, Miami Ohio, and Marshall.
Tyler Leopold 6’5 280 Ottawa-Glandorf- Tyler plays on the offensive and defensive lines for the Titans. At the college level I like him as a right tackle or offensive guard at the college level. What pops out on film when you watch Leopold is his athleticism. He has the athleticism to pass set, but where he shines is in the run game. When it comes to pulls, down blocks, chipping and getting to the second level he just moves so freely and easily for a young man his size. Once engaging defenders Tyler does a great job of finishing his blocks. Leopold has drawn interest from D1 MAC schools Bowling Green, Toledo, and Akron.
Jayden Irons Jayden Irons 6'1" | 160 lbs | DB Elida | 2022 OH 6’1 160 Elida- Irons is a long smooth athlete. Jayden is a player that I’m honestly torn over, but that’s torn in a good way. You see Irons plays both wide receiver and free safety for the Elida Bulldogs and I’m not sure which I like him at better because I think he has a high ceiling at both positions. On offense he’s a big play specialist as he does a great job of creating separation and is a fluid hiigh pointer of the football down the field. Once he has the ball he’s elusive as evidenced by the reverses and open field plays you see him make. On
defense Irons is the perfect single high safety. That center fielder of the defense roaming looking to pick off any deep ball heaved by the opposing quarterback. He’s an easy athlete who has a great feel for angles and again is a great high pointer of the football. Jayden hasn’t had much interests thus far, I fully expect that to change with a strong 2022 offseason and senior season.
