The linebacker position requires players to be smart and play with physicality, which all of these LB’s have in common. The problem is that they aren’t receiving the attention they deserve and are flying under the radar. These linebackers could become difference makers at the college level and set the tone on any defense. Here are the most overlooked LB’s in the 2021 NC class:

Burns is hard-hitting linebacker that plays with excellent gap discipline and instincts. He is very effective as a blitzing LB, but also can be relied on as a run defender. Austin has the skill to shed opposing blocks and then make the tackle on a consistent basis. This playmaker flies around the field and seems to always be around the ball. Doesn’t have any offers to this point.

Macrae is an all-around linebacker that literally does it all for his team. He has elite agility and lateral quickness which results in Gibson showcasing impressive footwork during games. This LB is quick to fill running lanes and takes
