Chelsea (9-0) vs Flint Kearsley (6-3) is a game filled with underrated playmakers. Chelsea has been on fire all season, but don’t sleep on this Flint Kearsley team because they are led by one of the best quarterbacks in the state in senior Braylon Silvas Braylon Silvas 6'1" | 165 lbs | QB Flint Kearsley | 2021 State MI .
Chelsea Bulldogs
Joe Taylor Joe Taylor 5'9" | 155 lbs | WR Chelsea | 2021 State MI | WR | 2021 (Michigan baseball commit)
Taylor has to be one of the most underrated players in the state. He is a great athlete with very good speed and playmaking ability at both receiver and safety. He certainly has the ability to play football at the next level, but for now he has decided to play baseball, but he should look to at least walk on with the Michigan football team.
Ryan Bareis Ryan Bareis 6'3" | 245 lbs | OL Chelsea | 2021 State MI | OL | 2021
Bareis beefed up this season and has turned himself into a solid prospect. He is a good athlete for the position and has experience at multiple spots on the offensive line. He holds just two offers from Olivet and Albion, but he is an intriguing prospect that could pick up a few more before this cycle ends.
Griffen Murphy Griffen Murphy 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Chelsea | 2021 MI | QB | 2021 (Wisconsin-Whitewater commit)
Murphy is an underrated quarterback prospect and has been key to Chelsea’s success this season. He doesn’t have a big arm, but he shows the ability to improvise and can make plays with his legs. He is committed to one of the best DIII programs in the country and should compete for the starting job within a couple of years.
Carson Gray | LB | 2022
I expect Gray to be a riser this offseason and during his senior year. He is more of a safety-linebacker tweener and he is the perfect fit for modern defenses that utilize their linebackers out in space. He has no offers yet, but he is a good athlete and he has a frame with room to fill out, which should intrigued college coaches.
Russell Sullivan | OL | 2022
Sullivan is a raw prospect, but he moves pretty well for his size and has some upside. He plays center for Chelsea, but I think he could potentially play guard at the next level as well. He should pick up some offers this offseason, but a productive senior season could make him a big riser.
Flint Kearsley Hornets
Braylon Silvas Braylon Silvas 6'1" | 165 lbs | QB Flint Kearsley | 2021 State MI | QB | 2021
Silvas is one of the best senior quarterbacks in the state and is somehow still on the market. He is a great athlete with a good arm and some dynamic dual-threat playmaking ability. He holds offers from Northwood, Butler, Valparaiso, Morehead State, Lawrence Tech, Albion and several others, but he will be a steal for the school that gets his commitment.
Isaiah Jones-Stiverson Isaiah Jones-Stiverson 5'9" | 205 lbs | RB Flint Kearsley | 2021 State MI | RB | 2021
Jones-Stiverson is one of the most underrated running backs in the 2021 class. He isn’t a speed demon, but he has a compact build with great vision and elusiveness. He holds just one offer from Siena Heights, but he is definitely a player that deserves much more recognition from college coaches.
Brendan Schanick Brendan Schanick 6'3" | 300 lbs | OL Flint Kearsley | 2022 MI | OL | 2022
Schanick is the top junior prospect on this team. He has good size, pulls pretty well and shows the nastiness college coaches want out of their offensive lineman. He has no offers yet, but that should change as we enter the offseason and as more schools shift their focus to the 2022 class.
Jack Hinman | OL | 2021
Hinman is a solid offensive line prospect with the size and length college coaches look for. He is a solid athlete that shows nastiness in the run game and can get the job done in pass protection as well. He holds offers from Alma, John Carroll and Aurora, but could be a player that picks up a few more before the cycle ends.
Jace Chapman | WR | 2021
Chapman is an unknown prospect, but he has a really intriguing skillset. He plays receiver for Kearsley, but I think with his receiving ability and playmaking ability after the catch, he could make a transition to running back at the next level. He holds just one offer from Aurora.
